So anybody care to rate the new layout? What kinda lap times are we looking at for advanced and intermediate on the average? Better or ? than old configuration? :D

I like it although the ground down areas still play games with my head :) My first trackday of the year on a new bike and I managed a 1:09.3 in Intermediate group after Kenny set my suspension so I'm happy . I'm a wuss in the new S's but maybe I'll pick up some time there as the season progresses . I'll post up a vid later .

OBTW I destroyed the left side of my rear tire in one day , so much for it being easy on tires !

Track is fun, ton of traction, best time 1:03.6 on now 3 day old rear and 5 day old front tires that I will run on again in Nashville

    see you there!

DarkSide41 just save that tire. When the track runs clockwise you can work on the right side. :) The track seemed pretty sticky to me. I will say the grooves were a little intimidating. I never rode on the old configuration but the new one rocks!

I loved the new Layout.... Then again I ride a Tard... I was having fun in Advanced but also Instructed in Novice.. I dont like the rough stuff or the 2 Patches in 1 and 9 when they are wet however that track dried up pretty quick... A big Thanks to Mark, Lois, Mike and all of the other STT Crew... What a great weekend!!

I really enjoyed it & while not too sure at first I do think I like the new layout better now in spite of the slick ground down areas.

1:05.01 on Pilot Powers which I am in love with... I'm going to use them at every track (except Barber) from here on. Relatively cheap, don't need warmers at all (1:08's on the 2nd lap cold), extremely predictable in all conditions & absolutely incredible on a damp track!

    That tis the plan :)

yeah the grooves never caused a slip all day , like I said it is just a mental thing at my slow speeds . I'll get over it hopefully . Good seeing ya and I probably have some video of you when I ever get a chance to sort through it all .

Almost 1 full session is here until I came together with another bike toward the end . I made another lap just to shake the hibbie jibbies then pulled in to check my shorts :)

Those are great times...way to go .

I had plans to run the PP 2CTs all this year until I found a couple sets of PR4/PR1 for $239 delivered then I just said what the hell . Those street Powers rock though and I'm sure that's what I'll be using before the year is out . That way I can throw them on the Busa after 3 days at the track and look cool :)

i ran 1:08.8 after jeff showed me around. avg was a 1:09s on stock bridgestones which Jeff says is junk! so maybe i'll try the pilot powers next time, they seem to be popular. the track looked alot worse than it felt. did any body go off the track a the new "S " turn? i thought i was more than a couple times! DARKSIDE COOL VIDEO!

There were a coupl in our group that wanted to make a shortcut of the new S's but nobody went down . I do know a couple that did crash there though . I think there were only 3 crashes all day with no injuries which was great .

Here is the last session of the day, it's only a couple laps long . I was going to film a friend but a bike tried to pass me on the inside on braking and knocked me off track . You can just see his black Gixxer in the frame after he bounces off my leg then again as we are getting back on track . I could barely put any weight on the left leg until last night ....major charlie horse...

I don't think I'll drop back down to "I" group any more :)
