Thanks for the help and kind words and encouragement James, Jimmy, Ken, Felix. Thanks especially to Chris for all the help, support, patience and insight at Barber and CMP. Karl
Big thanks to Felix, the instruction gave me a lot of confidence......Jimmy you did a great job with my group....Big props to the whole Sportbike Track Time crew... Wish I didnt have to go back to Australia, this track was a blast...
Best Birthday I ever Had.... Thanks to everyone that came to the 2 day Party!! What a fantastic weekend....
First STT event for me, and I was highly impressed. Not only is the staff top notch, but the riders are superb. "I" group was amazing both days. Two thumbs up for a great org. that I'll definitely be riding with again soon!
The Buell guys were amazingly approachable, and unbelievably enthusiastic to help. A great addition to the weekend. Big thanks also to 'Keep Up,' George on tire tip, and Rick from South Florida. I've never rode on the back of a sportbike with anyone, EVER. So that virgin two up experience, especially at Barber....made me want to smoke a cigarette after the session...IT WAS THAT GOOD!!! hahahaha! ...pulling a 1:47:38 2 up on a STOCK Yamaha... PRICELESS!! Thanks, Rick! I got the braking points down now. =]
I have been doing track days now for about 7 years. I have ridden with other large clubs in the east and the south. This was my first day with STT and was my first day back on the track after taking last year off due to a serious knee injury. I was a little sceptical not knowing much about STT and very rusty with my riding skills which made me a little nervous. Well let me say, you guys got the formula right. The level of professionalism and positive attitude in your organization is unmatched. Everyone in the organization I spoke with had a smile on their face, useful criticism with words of encouragement. By the second day I was was back in the groove and had one of my best Barber weekends ever. Also hats off to Buell, Nick and Ken. Their class sessions and their help on the track were great. Barber is always special but STT made it more so. I hope to see you all again soon. Thanks, Greg
Well welcome back Greg! It was a Blue Ribbon weekend for sure... Cool Breeze.. Great People and a Great track.... What more could you ask for...(Maybe a free dinner in the Museum right!)
No problem Karen, I hope I could help you a little bit! It was a fun weekend, there were some great riders in "I" this weekend!
James, did you post the vid with Lora and I on youtube? I should have put it on my laptop before we left, i just forgot all about it.
Chris, wth did you do to Lora?!? She was absolutely flying on Saturday. I mean, the amount of improvement from her last trackday I saw her at is preposterous! I want some of what she had! ...or do I?
I know right! I am soooooo proud of her! She has been riding for a while (street) and just started riding the track at the end of last year. She gets dramatically better every track event. She got both knees down at Barber this weekend and was railing turns...even the high speed ones in the back section. Motorcycle riding is a passion for both of us. We spend hours every day talking about it, looking at pictures, discussing theories etc. I try to help her as much as possible, but words can only do so much. She is the one who put in the extra effort and hard work to improve. ...and credit has to be given to her coaches at Barber (the other coaches, not me). She said she got excellent instruction and some good "pulls" around the track that really helped her on her lines and pick up speed. I am really proud of her.
Do you know who you are talking too. I just viewed the pics and James you did a hell of a job coaching Lora. She looked like a pro out there
