Of course, you can have any color, as long as it's red. :D

Only one problem with this bike - there's no way you could ever risk actually riding it. I'll take my plain ol' $5000 R6 any day...

    WOW!

Talk about rare. A ZERO mile Supermono. I wonder what he paid for it. I think they were around $40-50K when new.

I love the feedback comment from the guy who decided to buy a Viper instead. Glad he didn't, sounded like someone who would take it out on the street, then bitch about how rough it is. Must be nice to have to kind of disposable income.

Ferracci actually bought Ducati's remaining NOS stock of Supermono parts. Except for a few pieces, he could have built at least one of these from scratch.

    Rich...

    They were $30k, new........

Probably one of the coolest looking bikes in history, but originally designed with the hopes of competing with 250cc two strokes, they failed miserably; too heavy, too slow, had reliability issues, and were impossible to start. Remember.....two stroke, 250's weigh 220lbs and making over 100hp, have lap times that were frightfully close to 500cc GP bikes, and aren't far behing MotoGP bikes; the pretty little (they are tiny!!!) thumper never had a chance against them, but still remains one of the most lusted after bikes ever made, and I suspect are a hoot to ride.

These bikes always baffled me. I never liked the styling. And, as Bob said; they were expensive and troublesome, with no good place to race in the US.

Other than investment value; I wouldn't pay $9,000 much less $90,000.

As for the "dummy" connecting rod balancer, fitting description. Why not use a real rod with a piston on the end and make a real motorcycle out of it? Wait a minute, they do, and they're cheaper, faster, better :)

Singles work well in lawnmowers and dirt bikes. Other than that..................?
