Last week a mechanic brought my 96 F3 back from the dead and is ready for the track. Also have an 03 CBR RR. Both are track day only bikes and am trying to figure which one to keep and which to sell.

I am doing a Saturday/Sunday track day event soon am trying to come up with an ideal rotation to see which fits my riding better.

Using a comparison, last time at Putnam i ran 1:19:74 on the F3 and 1:24.1 on the RR.

F3 has slicks and RR has racetec tires. Use warmers so dont want to rotate each session as this would add a few heat cycles.

Any ideas out there on how to manage this effectively?

    Thanks to those who reply.

That's a pretty good time for the F3. What was holding you back on the RR?

If it was my choice, I'd keep the 03, just because it's a more modern bike and you'll be able to get more out of it, in the end, even if you're more comfortable in the short term on the F3.

At any rate, I'd run one bike in the morning during day 1, then switch to the other in the afternoon. Next day, do the opposite. Should give you a pretty accurate impression on which bike you prefer.

    what's an F3???? hehe

Keep the RR, waaay more ground clearance, modern frame, brakes, slightly more modern suspension with the option to spend $600 and get a 05-06 suspension for it..... lots of up side very little down side (not to mention the 100ish HP and did I mention ground clearance?....)

I have two bike and I like the fact I can switch depending on the track. If you decide to keep just one bike, the double "R" it is...
