Hi All, I highsided on the north course during the session before lunch, and unfortunately my GoPro was damaged and did not record the anarchy. (Damnit). I ended up breaking off both ends of my right collarbone. Quite the experience. Was anyone in the Advanced group filming during this session? Even if you were not around the crash, I would appreciate some video of me laying on the ground just so I can have a shred of souvenir from this painful endeavor. Thanks, Corey
North course turn 5? It happened right in front of me. Unfortunately, someone stole the camera off my bike Saturday night, so I couldn't record it.
Yep that was me. How bad did it look? Sucks to hear about your camera! Usually everyone is so cordial and trustworthy at these events.
Didn't look too bad. Once I saw the rear kick out, I figured you were going down. It looked like you were tumbling while I ran into the grass dodging your bike as it slid across the track. It didn't look like the initial fall was too hard. Hope you get back on track soon.
I landed just right, on my shoulder. After a second orthopedic Dr. visit, my right collarbone snapped at both ends. They had initially thought it was dislocated but the thing is just so badly broken that it sticks out! :crutch:
Yeah. At least it wasn't expensive like a GoPro. Stupid thief probably won't even figure out how to use it.
Absofuckinlutely you should have! That place would have been shut down tighter than Fort Knox. No one in or out until it was "found"
I guess. I just wanted to forget about it and focus on my riding at the time. They could have been gone with it by morning when I noticed it missing.
I suppose, but I'm pretty sure I would've noticed it sooner. The dangling USB cable was pretty apparent. I noticed it immediately in the morning. It just clipped into the holder. In hindsight, I should've epoxied it in there or something. It could've helped in either case.
Sorry to hear about the collar bone. Ouch! I came thru just after you were down. You were moving and crawled to the inside of T5, so I thought you were 'ok' for the most part. I think your Dad/friend was near my pit when I came in. Once I figured out that he was looking for you, I mentioned the above. He still wanted to run out on track to get to you. I tried to impress upon him that EMTs were rolling and were probably with you as we spoke, but I'm certain he was more concerned with you than what I was saying. Understandably. Get well soon.
I'm still not sure how I managed to crawl off the track with my collarbone and all. Anyway, my father is definitely a father in the sense that he loses his mind in these situations. Been down a few times but he still thinks it's best to run out on the track and be there. Thanks for the wishes. This injury is no fun.
