STT doesn't do VIR. I'll let STTGUY explain. It's really too bad as VIR is one of my favorite tracks within driving distance... you'll have to ride with another club like TPM, if you want to ride VIR.

Here is another great riding school-track day promoter at VIR that does a great T/D. Small groups and great help with learning to ride also. NO membership fees, just pay & ride.

    http://www.cornerspeed.net/

    http://www.teampromotion.com/tpm.php Good also..Need membership.

I have been riding with C-speed & TeamPro for about 4 years now. Check them out if your thinking of a T/D at VIR.

Are you going to go to Calabogie with TPM this year? If so, let us know which date and we'll join you.

Thanks a good question...Things are a little hecktic in my life right now. I'm moving from VA Beach to Michigan right after

the first of the year, so I was going to be doing some Track days at Mid-Ohio in the spring but I'm always up for more track time. Maybe we can work someting out, my enclosed trailer holds to bikes just fine!

You been to Calabogie yet? I only hear GREAT things about the place. And where are you located?

    Thanks, Rj CCS#153

Mosport ROCKS! However, it takes no prisoners.. be warned. You mess up in two and it will hurt you for sure.... or worse. But THAT is one of my all time favorite corners, go figure.

We do not host events in Canada because it is a foreign country. You/We are NOT protected by the same system of laws that prevail here in the USA. Also, your medical coverage is different. It's just not worth the risk IMO... when there are so any excellent choices to ride at here at home.

Monte, I've heard from people that work for TPM, that Canada's universal coverage, covers everyone, regardless of nationality. I dunno how accurate that statement is, however... still, the people that I've talked to that have ridden calabogie tell me that it blows away anything else in North America... that's enough for me- I gotta do it once, at least.

    You heard wrong.

Call the Canadian Consolet in DC. Also, if you are involved in a crash that seriously injures (or heaven forbid worse) a Canadian you can be held as a material witness or forced to post a bond prior to being allowed to leave the country.

Canada is NOT the USA and we tend to forget that. Thier tort system is not the same as ours (in some ways that is good) but you are still a foreign national. I'm not saying I would not ride there priod but I do so knowing full well the risk involved.

Canada's tort system is something that I hadn't considered; good point. That said, it's not gonna stop me from going to calabogie, but it might make me a little more careful.
