Hello. I'm new to this forum and new to STT as well. Looking forward to making it to several events this year, hopefully starting with Roebling in Feb. Anyway, my bike is tuned for VP race fuel (meaning carbs are jetted so it's not an easy map change). Is VP ever available at the track day events and if not, where do you guys who use it usually get it. I have submitted an email request to VP in GA but have not heard anything back from them. Thanks for any info.

I've never seen a VP vendor at an STT event. Some guys may arrange for someone to bring them some but that's all privately done. Your best bet is to find a source and bring it with you.

I only run race fuel at a track day if I have some left over from a race weekend I need to use up. As to where I get it I normally buy either from Chuck Ivey (TVR Racing) or HDF1 motorsports in Atlanta.

Chuck (TVR Racing) has plenty of it available. I was over at his house wandering through the trailor the other day.

Thanks for the info guys. Any idea how I can contact Chuck? I searched the member list and couldn't find him.

i'd suggest trying to just run regular fuel and see how it runs before going through all that expense.

both my vesrah and jensen race bikes were 'tuned for vp'...but ran fine on regular pump gas. only lost a few horses...definitely fine for trackdays.

I guess I should try it. It would be a lot easier to run pump gas in it. I was worried about it running too rich. I does run fine around the neighborhood with pump gas, but I didn't do anything like I would do on the track to compare it. Thanks for the help.

If your bike is tuned for U4 (as my 750 is), it will run FINE on pump gas. That is the beauty of U4, it is readily interchangeable with pump gas.

Huff (hfd1motorsports) even dyno'ed my bike on pump gas (to break in the new parts) after the SS engine build and then dyno'ed it on U4.2 afterwards.
