Here we are getting close to April and still having below average temps along with more snow on the way! I just overheard a contractor saying they had been finding 5' of frost in the ground around here. I'm beginning to think riding on Easter Weekend may be like ice skating.... I knew I should have went to NOLA......
Good thing. Any colder and there would have been 100 car pile ups and closed freeways. A balmy 22 degrees here.
It was actually in the upper 30's here this AM.... However we are looking at 70 today If I am not mistaken....
5' of frost? Are you serious? Just for curiosity's sake, what's the frost line in Iowa? It's 42" or maybe 4' in upper Michigan. Luckily, I don't think we the building occupants in Michigan have had a 5' frost line or lots of the buildings here might be leaning or crumbling down.
I know it's around 4' here normally. We had a lot of cold weather with very little snow cover for most of Feb. Lot's of driveways are heaving more than normal this winter.
Working outside in SE Mi sure sucked this year. But I had it easy a couple years ago so it all evens out I guess I sure hope the weather is better for the first Gman weekend. Hope to get the rust off that weekend.
