This will be my first motorcycle track day this weekend. Ive been a few times with my car so I have a checklist for that. But I have to leave tonight after work to get everything done and out where I need to be so I'm short on time. What will I forget? What is/are some thing(s) that never seem to make it in the truck? This is my list so far. Riding Gear suit Riding Boots Gloves Helmet under armor 6 pairs boot socks Paddock Equipment MOTORCYCLE! oil brake fluid chair motorcycle ramps ratchet straps front stand rear stand racers tape painters tape brake cleaner degreaser chain lube Cooler Gatorade lunchmeant bread mustard water ice Paddock Clothes shorts t-shirt flip flops sun glasses Tools Socksets - metric 3/8 drive 10mm - 19mm deep 3/8 drive 8mm - 19mm short 1/2 drive 17-27mm 3/8 drive allen head 3/8 drive ratchet 1/2 drive ratchet 1/2 breaker bar wrenches - metric 8mm - 24mm screw drivers phillis standard soldering iron solder copper wire shrink wrap electrical tape hammer heavy rubber mallot rags wire brush
Looks like a good list. Put it into a spreadsheet checklist and you can either print it for each event, or just mark them off on your laptop as you get ready. I don't check anything off until it's in the truck. Good luck. Richard
Key is a good one. I was also given these Gas can hand cleaner 12V air compressor torque wrench towel soap Insect Repellant Sunscreen
Honda spray/ Windex (something to clean your visor) I personally like to travel with at least some cash. For that oops moment. I packed my wifes boots instead of mine once and was able to purchase somebody's "back up pair" that ended being better than mine and became by primaries.
good call on both ends. I have a habit of never carrying cash since I have a visa branded bank card that is accepted nearly everywhere. except...well....by some dude. lol thanks
I prefer tennis shoes or at least good solid sandals with a heel strap for loading an unloading bikes. The last thing you need is a flip flop getting caught on something or falling off in the middle of loading or unloading your bike.
i guess i kind of discounted that. I've got shoes on at work and i'll be leaving from work straight away. probably good item to make note of for the future.
A spare is almost a "must". It is one thing no one else will have that you can borrow or buy if you lose the original...
i compiled stuff and put into a spreadsheet...you can download the pdf. ill have to look for the original so u can edit it. http://www.teamneon.com/TrackDayList.pdf
I don't remember the name of the photoG who was at this event. Somebody help me out? They had a HELL of a rig!
