My wife and I.... ....will be there. It's not the best track on the STT circuit, but it is fairly cheap, 20 miles from our house and they let you use the garage. Also i work part time for the track Medical Staff. I hope nobody needs them, but they are some of the best Medics I have ever worked with. It makes me feel a little better about being out there. -Michael Julian
Re: Nashville Very Cool David... I have some other friends coming from Kentucky as well... You will have a blast trust me. Your first day you will remember for a lifetime...Hope to meet you...Looking forward to it!
Nashville was my first Many say the track is "not the best" but it was plenty to hook me. I was there last july, 107 degrees on the track, black leathers, novice group. The BEST time of my life!!! Going to TGPR May 24, novice. Many say its one of the best tracks but I dont think there is any such thing as a "bad"track. Unfortunatly I have to pass by Nashville speedway twice a day on 840 on the way to work, I just want to turn in EVERY time! You are gonna have SOO much flippin fun! WAHHHHOOOOOO
Ah, the memories. Yea, it sure was hot! kyFZ1.....since it's your first track day you'll have a great time. And, since you won't have any other tracks to measure it by you won't really care how it ranks on everyone's list! Have fun, watch some videos (youtube, etc.) of a Nashville track day and you'll get the lay of the land.
Nashville is unique track, it's pretty challenging to go fast on, but once you get good rhythm going, it's a lot of fun. Turn #1 must be the slowest turn out of all the tracks I have been on!
I will be there. Glad to finally go to a track that isn't to far away from the house. I don't have many high expectations for Nashville, I mean its no Barber, but it will do for getting me that "track fix" that I need right now. Also this will be my first time riding with STT.
If you hit the entry and exit of the front stretch just right (as you will see on on the early laps you do) its not too bad at all. If I remember correctly, don't do either of these at too much of angle or you'll it will upset the bike more than you might want. The transition off the BACKstretch is a bit a of jar though, and some were taking their butt off the seat to help there.
On late and Off early..... Its not bad at all. When you come out of the last turn though your instincts tell you to get up on the wall and pin it... I stay down on the Black as long as possible.. Its smoother and you dont lose any time. Same goes for the backside too however diving into the infield back there you cant be too low... After a few laps you will have it figured out... See you guys tomorrow night.. Look for the bald guy hanging over the Stove by the garage... Thats me... Marc
