Hey you guys. I'm sure that you've seen my postings by now so I'm not a noob to the forum, but I'm about as green as it gets when it comes to the track. I'm so there! Correction: I'm so bummed! :cry: Forgot to put something else in my calendar & as luck would have it, it's that same weekend. Reservations & other people involved, so I can't bail. I was sooo looking forward to our first shot at the new tarmac. Oh well. There will be plenty of other opportunities.
I'll be there on Sunday only! I'm excited as hell but also a little nervous. It's only my second trackday. I've got room on my 6X12 enclosed trailer if anyone else wants to go. I would actually love hitch a ride with you, but I'm heading down there Friday morning right after work to visit my cousin about an hour away for the weekend. (Free board, visit family, party, and go to the track now that sounds like a good weekend!!!) When are you heading down there???? I'm sure it's probably later, but let me know anyway. I'll look for you there on the track too. I'll be on the green 2005 zx-6r that's a track only bike. Yes, it's true that I haven't even ridden on a track yet either and I have a track bike. I got messed up pretty bad last year screwing off (speeding is fun :roll: ) I figured that it would be smart to have fun the way I want where it's safer. Anyway, take it easy. The Rabbit 8)
I'm heading down Friday night after work. Saturday I'm going to ride around a bit in the morning. Then in the afternoon get my tires changed out on my other wheels. I took Monday off too just in case I'm tired from Sunday (400 miles one way home) or maybe take a morning ride around. When I was there last year during superbike I didn't get a chance to ride around. So I'm looking forward to a little exploring. I'll be on a Green 9R! It's the only color !

I'm thinking that hangovers and track days don't mix. I plan on exploring too. Well, at least as much as I can out of a car. I guess that's the one downfall of a track bike. (I am going to give it a couple of moderate test runs on the indusrial road by my work with extreme caution though :twisted: .......I just want to make sure everything is ok and I would like to avoid the cops....Just so you know Law Dog you didn't hear this) I'm thinking just a couple of minutes. IS ther gonna be a suspension guy. Ive had my front and rear shocks re-done by aftershocks , just wanted the get the finally tweaking done . If so what's the cost and when will he be starting . Since we dont start until 12 noon , I was wondering when he wpould be there Thanks Cant wait , to get the "old" man's bike out there :twisted:
This is going to actually be my first track day so I don't know. I do know that I am showing up quite a bit early since it's my first time and I would like to put a new set of tires on. (Moneys starting to run tight now though.....I'm a penny pincher except when it comes to my bike. I have a tendencey to blow alot of money on it.) So I might keep the current BT-014's I have until I burn them up. If I can afford it I'm getting the pilot powers put on there though.Either way I'll be there early. Hope to see you there. The Rabbit
Gald I got in for my Saturday early. Can't wait to see the new track. I did a lame parade lap the first time I went to an AMA race in 2002. Aside from walking around the track while camping, this will be my first real time on it. But I will probably be not much faster than when I walked.
