Just an update about the rider involved in the T1 crash. I just left the hospital, and he was getting an MRI on his lower back and neck. Waiting on the results of those. His tibia? (bigger of the two) is broke and will require surgery to be put back together. Surprisingly, he didn't damage the fibula. He has a lot of friction burns to his hands, arms and legs, and a nice cut on his knee. BTW, if someone could post or PM me a link to the video, his dad would like to see how/what happened. Seen it in the tech shed, and WOW!!!! Thanks.
Ouch Pretty horrific looking crash glad to hear that your buddy is doing ok, I believe Soupy is doing fine amazingly! Hope everyone heals up quickly Later
please dont post the video, pictures, or any description, openly on the world wide web. updates on conditions are appreciated but, we dont need this getting too much attention for the privacy of the individuals involved. if you want to watch the video, get permission, and view it privately. again, please dont post links, pictures or videos in the open, ANYWHERE. thank you all in advance for understanding. wishing everyone a speedy recovery. Does anyone know if there was a professional photography group at Grattan this weekend? If so, what was their name?
Does anyone know the status of the guys involved in that 'endo' crash in Novice toward the end of Saturday? I saw a gopro video of the whole thing from a guy pitted near me, and it wasn't pretty. Nevermind...I didn't notice that cbr6racr just posted an update.
This guy was there on Saturday. I guess he was new and didn't know to stop by the riders' meeting... http://www.mikesmotofoto.com/
Thanks, FreddyJ. He doesn't have any pictures of this past weekend posted yet, but maybe he will later
Just another update, the novice rider that went down is a little more banged up than first thought. The MRI showed damage to his neck and lower back, and he had surgery yesterday to get some hardware in both. He'll have surgery today to fix his tibia. He has feeling and movement in all of his extremities. FreddyJ, do you happen to have any contact info for the guy that has the GoPro video that you were pitted near? I'm heading out to Grand Rapids tomorrow to see him, and his dad would like to see what happened. Thanks!
Wow, hoping everyone involved a quick recovery. That is always a shame to hear that someone is injured doing a track day. I know it is always a possibility but it still sucks!
