The most depressing time of year is approaching because I know it'll be at least 4 months before I can ride her again (Im talking about the bike, get your mind out of the gutter). I plan on putting it into storage this weekend. Winters in Wisconsin are long and cold, so the only thing that sheds a little light is looking at the new schedule and signing up for track days in late December/early January. It kinda gives me "track day fever" in the middle of winter. How does everyone else deal with their winter "time off?"
 - I don't think that was the answer he was looking for, but good answer anyway!!  This winter I will probably do a lot of reading and watch videos on suspension tuning. I feel my riding has progressed well, but I would like the intangibles to keep up..So, next year I hope to be a more well rounded rider....
I sit on my bike and make vroom vroom noises in the dining room, (Pictured with my friend that helped me get it up the front steps)
I get around to really following the book on all those mid season tweaks I thought about doing and didn't have time for....
read a ton of motorcycle books: Performance Riding Techniques is one of them i plan on reading again. tearing the bike down to the bare frame, cleaning it from the floor up. installing a new transmission and while i have the engine out and in pieces doing a valve check. O and playing MotoGP 03 on my computer and MotoGP 08 on xbox also helps as well.
This winter... Selling all my street stuff. Dreaming about all the track stuff I'm going to buy in the spring. Going on STG and Indysuperbikes, and filling up my cart with said stuff over and over again. Getting my B.S. done, finally. Drinking a lot of rum and scotch. A little crying. Waiting for next year's STT schedules and WERA rulebooks to come out.
I have a dual sport so I'll still ride over the winter as long as the roads aren't snow covered. I'm not as intimidated by gravel and salt residue on the roads riding the dual sport. Even a couple short rides throughout Dec.-Jan.-Feb. help me keep my sanity!
It just snowed yesterday up here in Wisconsin - the season is officially over I think....let the whining and pining begin...
I'll be watching the videos of this years trackdays (Mid Ohio) and tearing down the bike and getting it ready for next season. I'll be upgrading some parts as well as selling others. It snowed 3 inches last night. At least I already have the bike in the basement. (no sense in heating the garages when the house is always warm)
Hai Hey this is flora i like bike driving but in winter i hate driving it sits the bike and it is cold to drive...
