Its none of my business, but maybe rent a trailer from uhaul for your first time out and make sure your in for the long haul? I dont know anyone whos ever NOT liked it, but thats a pretty substantial purchase on a whim, and you will need the dough for some other appropriate gear
Thanks for the concern! It's going to be a dual purpose unit. My son is the track day guy. My hobby is racing RC cars. I'm going to use it for both. Hope to get it ready with electric and A/C before the heat hits. You're right about the outlay of cash. I've been putting this off for years. My son did a few track days last year, and of course, he's hooked. I'm just tagging along, in support...
Take a look at mine I have for sale on here. it is a 7x16 but already has many things you may want. I am in the Chicago area regularly. http://www.sttforum.com/showthread.php?t=9953
Hey Paul-Thanks for the offer! I seen your trailer a while ago..It's beautiful. I don't have the room or means to store a larger trailer. glws. Nick
Dont forget the bonus of having your own trailer, pick it up and go! no packing, get home late sunday night, drop it off, unpack whenever you want. Its always ready to go
I rented a UHaul last year. I have a dealer very close to me. It was pretty reasonable too. I was a little surprised. I just want my own home away from home. It will get used almost every weekend. Plus I intend to use it for sleeping quarters, saving motel bills.
I just came from a big trailer outlet. A 6X10 would probably work. I think I would need the extra width. Thanks.
Still looking. A6X10 would work too. Also can increase my radius from home to pick a good trailer up. Thanks for looking.
That's a really good buy for an aluminum trailer! A few posts back, I mentioned a rather large trailer sales co. that I checked out in person. Learned even more going over the different makes that they had. I'll probably end up back there. I was kinda hoping that a unit already set-up would come along.... http://weraclassifieds.com/ads/7x12-vee-nose-trailer/#axzz2R17dKAPu This is an example of what I'm talking about. 850 miles to LI NY though.
VRVs are awesome. Well, after much searching, I bought a unit from a guy on EBay. Got a great deal.. Thanks for all the advice and comments.
