hey everyone, working on wrapping up some items on the sv650 I am building this winter. :woot: Parts I need and am ready to buy: -04/05 GSXR 600/750 Brake Calipers -04/05 GSXR 600/750 Front Fender -Stainless Steel Brake Lines -06+ r6 master cylinder + brake reservoir + lever combo(it is the brembo part) the combo of all 3 would be awesome but no biggie if you only have the master. I have an 06 sv650s that I will post pics of its transformation once it is complete but if you think I need any other parts, please recommend. I swapped for 05/06 front end, JRi shock going in the rear, and just need the above parts to make this beast stop haha cant wait for Grattan in April!!!! the track bug hit me hard after I got to ride for free last October. :thumb: thanks for all the help! Brad please text, I am in the middle of tax season so my schedule is all over the place. 2four8 - twozero2 - nine11zero I am in brighton Michigan for pickup or shipping info.
Nice build I'm sure! I built up a stock SV (street bike) with a 08 GSXR setup - front end and rear wheel. I'll take it to an event or two this summer and try it out but will mostly be on the 600.
awesome!! yea I will be having the bike pulling double duty but I am excited! it is coming together a lot better and easier than expected. I thought about the rear wheel kit but I like the smaller rear tire, never had an issue with it. cant wait to take it to my suspension guy and let him work his magic on a new rear shock and building the gsxr forks
I personally would ditch the GSXR calipers. Go either R6 or 2009 GSXR 1000 Monoblocks. Even on my SV with the GSXR front end conversion I would get fade with the stock GSXR brake system.
I was planning to upgrade the calipers down the line but I got a really good deal on calipers, stainless lines, and a fender combo. this is going to be my first bike with inverted forks, nicer calipers, etc so I bet I will feel a huge difference. I rode an fz6 for almost 3 years then sold it cuz the market was awesome and snagged an sv in august. sv going to be my first bike with a built suspension for me as well so I really cant wait for spring to see how this baby handles! is there a right up on how to do the r6 or newer caliper upgrade cuz I know its not a direct fit. has to be something on svrider I imagine
