Interesting and great for mounting on the tail. Just remember your mount location needs visibility to BOTH sides. I think I would prefer the old style but this is still a nice unit.

Looks like it fits the bill for the everyday trackday rider. Gotta make sure the trackday provider has a compatable transmitter. I'm sure STT does.

Hell that thing could make some money. Daily rental could be 10 bucks. Cost can't be more than 80 (retail 110). Maybe member packets could have the option for these at a reduced cost. I think people would ditch the Tee shirt for cash towards it.

an outside vendor might be able to do that... technically, STT doesn't put a beacon out so as not to violate many insurance policies forbidding timed "racing" on a closed course or summat...

Thanks for reminding me I need to charge the battery for the transmitter.

    The mini XT

Just picked one up at Barber last weekend. Never have used a lap timer before, but its easy to use. I just used the included velcro and mounted it on the tail. We switched it between three bikes and had alot of fun. No wires to mess with. Only records fifty laps I think and then it starts to overwrite the old ones. For the money I love it.
