I'm riding a Ducati 620 in novice at Pocono.
Considering running PP2ct 120/70 front and 180/55 instead of the stock 120/60 front and 160/60 rear.
    Any opinions?

changing the size of the rear is a very debated topic in your case your bike can put down a decent amount of power coming out of a turn in which if your novice you could be more likely to highside now with that said a highside can happen at anytime but the 180 2ct have a very good lean angle and is a very tall tire you will just drop into the corner and have more rubber down to keep the traction and not highside but then again your changing the bikes designed dynamics! I have a suzuki sv650 and stock has a 160rear and i did the exact thing your saying i decided to go back i felt like the bike was pushing in the corner and i picked up a set of 160 2cts and loved them...!

    BUT THATS A DIFFERENT BIKE

You're fine with the 120/70 front, but unless you plan on changing the rear wheel & possibly the swingarm, I would strongly advise against the wider tire in the rear.

Lance is right. Going up that big in tire size will have clearance issues with the swing arm. Also, with the tire pressures we are running and that much more tire, I wouldnt be surprised if that wider tire would tend to "Mushroom" over the edges and get wiggly in corners. Stick with the stock size in the rear.

For your front, you're going from a sidewall of 60% of the tread width to 70%. That's a difference of 12 MM or 1.2 CM. Check for appropriate clearance with your fender. I'm no expert, but I'd also think that taller sidewall might flex a bit more.

On the rear, you're moving from a tire that 160 MM wide and 96 MM tall. You're going wider by 2 CM...almost an inch...and slightly taller to 99 MM. Not nearly so dramatic of a change as the front.

The 2 CM width will be a clearance question with the swingarm and chain. Being that much wider, handling characteristics should be looked at. it'll likely turn in just a bit slower. For a novice, it may not be all that noticable. For an expert, they'd probably notice it right away.

You didn't provide any reasons for the change in tire size. Are you looking to handle/perform differently, having trouble with finding the correct size tires, or just wanna run a 180? If it's the latter, check your ego and run stock sizes. (not meaning to offend...I'd tell my sons the same thing).

Just my 2 cents worth. You still need a buck twenty-seven more for a cuppa joe! :)

    Thanks for all the replies.
I ended up with the odd sizes due to an error in shipping, and was just looking for opinion to decide whether to run them or return for stock sizes.
My gut reaction was that they wouldn't work and you all ,and Monte, confirmed it. Thanks.
    They are going back!

just throwing this out here there is a guy on here selling a f3 rear wheel with the spacers and everything you would need to do it if you wanted to check the for sale section just posted it! Not one hundred percent sure a f3 wheel runs a 180 but i think that is the common swap for sv's

Run the 70 on the front and the 160 on the rear. The fat tire pinched on the rear will hurt traction because you will be removing flex from the sidewall, which you need......bad.
