Just call Ducati Indy and see what they have left. I paid through them and only signed up a couple of weeks ago and they had more spots to sell....
The Ducati Indy guys are supporting the event and help bring credibility to the event. Sign up through them if MCRA is sold out. Ask for Tommy in Parts for sign up and detailed info regarding the event. Again... They have a set number of spots and if you call them, you might still be able to get in. If everything is sold out at Putnam, Mid-Ohio is also running that weekend... And why I won't be at Putnam that Easter Weekend... But I will be helping and running with the Ducati Indy guys during the other weekends they are running at Putnam. They really put on a great show.
That's good to hear that they put on a good event. I was a little nervous about two groups running one event. Tommy did seem like I pretty cool guy over the phone. Its sounding better every day.......:rawk:
Get with Matt Carr and have him tow you around for pointers. One of the fastest guys to turn a wheel at that track. He runs faster trackday times than a majority of guys that race there... It is an amazing site to watch him on the Pani turning laps. Listen to the traction control coming out on to the front straight... Awesomeness. Tell Tommy I said he sucks. :bounce: Great kid. Knows his shit and will be great to work with. IF you have ANY issues... Get with Matt or Tommy and they will work for you to help out.
If weather looks good in Grattan and not sold out by then, I'll do the weekend there. Otherwise I intend to be riding with Indy Ducati. I've rode with them 4 days and they do a good job but not as good as STT. I am sure one could hook up with a coach just like STT but they don't come looking to help you like I have had happen with STT. At least this is this novice's perspective. Matt
I thought that last year around this time, but then I asked for a CR to follow me around for a while. The feedback I got was incredible. He even recorded me for a session, which was the first time I was able to see what I was doing with my body - it was not impressive at all
Completely agree, Asked for help and got it. STT coaches have come to me offering help without me asking them! Although, that may say something more for my riding than their operation Matt
Previous mention about the church used for parking. This is not accurate. Parking at the church is not permitted. It seems someone (not our org) was using their electric.
Well, looks like I'll be staying at the Motel 6 in Cloverdale Fri & Sat nights. Every other place was $100 per night but Motel 6 was only $55 per night. Sounds like quite a few MCRA riders are staying there and claim it's just as good as the other places. So if anyone else is doing Putnam for Easter that's a cheap place to stay unless your camping. :thumb:
All of those hotels are garbage so pretty much pick your cheapest dump to stay at lol. Be prepared for slime water as well.. You may feel worse than when you took a shower haha
That makes me feel slightly better.....I think. Are you going to Putnam or Grattan that weekend?
You can get a cheap rate at a nice hotel if you stay by the airport in Indy. I payed $35 a night with Priceline at a bay mount inn. It's only maybe 25min to the track but excellent rooms. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
