Just curious...did you ever run the BMW at RRR? I'm pondering a new bike next season and I was all set on GSXR 1000. Then I saw a bunch of comparos where it essentially came in last, with the BMW topping everyone, followed by the ZX-10R. I want to want that GSXR.

Why are you selling the BMW?

S1000RR are power wise the top you can get in stock trim, but the handling requires a lot of setup. ZX10 seems to be a little down on power compared with the beemer but handles very well from what I was told. Well GSXR everybody and his mother has em and builds parts for them. They handle well and are reliable good bikes.

According to some sources from Germany the S1000 2012 has everything what the 2010-2011 lacks in handling, I can't say for sure if that is true, but the change in rake and the change in Motor position and the resulting change in the pivot point, sound like they took care of the issue.
I'm racing a beemer with CCS in the Midwest, I like what I have, but I can't compare, last year I was on a 1098... Which was like day and night compared with the Bavarian missile.

Edit, my buddy ran his well build and setup ZX10 ar RRR and said he didn't had enough for a Guy from Canada on a Stock S1000.... but than Farrell did the track record on his ZX10...

Yes, I ran it all last year at the tracks in the SE. I turned a 1.13 at RRR on it as well while sliding everywhere! (It was a hot July day and I made the mistake of running soft ntecs...) The bmw took me to 4 national championships so it knows the way around a track! I bought the GSXR because suzuki pays contingency $$$ and racing is expensive so I'm hoping to recoup some costs... Honestly I love the BMW and hate to sell it but just don't need that kind of $$$ sitting in the garage not being enjoyed! Plus, it looks pretty just sitting there. The GSXR, well, it's kinda plain vanilla to me in comparison... But racing is about $$$ and winning so I'll try it for a year or so and see...

Well, if the GSXR is set up like this BMW, let me know if you decide to sell it at the end of this season. ;) I'm getting that itch again for a new ride and I don't want to throw any more money at four year old bike (2008 GSX-R750). Then again, we'll see how it does at Barber in a couple weeks some suspension changes and a 190 rather than a 180 rear tire.

I've had several contact me for pictures of the plastics... here they are! Some colored duct tape is protecting prior damage but overall they are in descent shape. I tried to show both outside and inside so you can note whatever damage is there. All painted red or black with decals. Also have a windshield. In good shape but has decal residue that I will see about cleaning off. Shoot me your offers...

    1 upper-used
    1 tail-used
    1 lower-used
    1 lower-new
    1 windshield-used
