First off I want to say thanks to the STT staff and rider coaches for making this an awesome event. Last weekend was the first time back to ride with STT since four years ago! It was great to see the same excellent instruction and great event structure is still around and kicking!! Here's a video from Sunday in I group. I followed rider coach Ciegi out for an initial eval on for a bump to A... https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=1dGTVq0gH6s#t=195 I have more video from later in the afternoon from A group processing! Also was recording video behind the rider who went off on T1 towards the end of the day. Didn't see the bus go out so hopefully he's ok. Big thanks again to STT and I hope to see you all again soon! It was a blast to get back over to ride ACC. Post up your vids from last weekend!
I haven't searched through much other than this one (and another session that someone is working on editing!): Definitely a big thanks to everyone working this weekend, I had a blast.
Congrats on the bump needknees. I have video processing and uploading also. I think I have a few of you making effortless passes on me. It was great chatting with you Saturday night as well. See you at the next one.
This was Nick "Gunshow" Amelio, riding my TZ on Sunday... He didn't know I turned the camera on! -X
Here's one from Intermediate S8 on Saturday. Following Muddy4DSM and Timmayy!! for a few laps. This one is of S5 on Saturday following sgreenwalt312 for the first few laps.
All I see is a guy on an SV650 go flying by giving more than 6 feet passing. I'd say a highly courteous rider in general. Disclaimer: that would be me/mine. Seriously I'm thankful no one was taken out by it. The rivets had failed and of it went. To whomever picked it up &/or dodged it along the way Thank you & sorry. I was able to safety wire it back on and finish the day with a bit less noise. Chappy

Haha, no worries. Especially if it was the rivets failing there's nothing you could've done, just kind of a freak thing. I'm really glad there was no further incidents and it didn't end anyone's weekend. That said, I don't mean any offense, but I'm amazed that you didn't realize something had happened. I've had an exhaust crack on the track once and the change in noise made it immediately apparent. But hey, all's well that ends well. That thing was so cool. I considered asking if you wanted to swap a 125 two-stroke for a 250 four-stroke for a session.
No offense taken. Yep rivets failed & heard the noise clearly even with earplugs. Knew what it was but not much that could be done at that point other than ride it out.
Sam! Was good to meet you... you're a fast mofo... haha! Bastard! :bounce: It was my first jump from N to I and I thought you were the norm... thank goodness you got bumped or I would have been demoralized for life :jester: Thanks to Chris for doing the I class room session on passing, improving on your own and countless other lessons! Broken collarbone or not he was there! I like the part about "Un-fucking" your mind :thumb:
Here's another video. It's random clips of other riders from Intermediate Sessions 6 and 7. I know there's some video of Juicebox, needknees, and a few others.
I had a blast that weekend! Here's my fastest lap of ACC north so far, a 1:16. Not as fast as you quick guys but I'm happy with it! Also, I'm editing up a video of a session with me, Knolly, and Brian all swapping positions:fencing:, I haven't had that much fun in a long time!
I used an old iPhone as a GPS Laptimer (Harry's Laptimer Pro - iPhone and Android versions. http://www.gps-laptimer.de). There's been a couple threads on this so I won't elaborate more than saying if the phone is mounted correctly it does a good enough job for measuring "track day" progress. I captured the video with a GoPro. Then I used RaceRender (http://racerender.com/RR3) to put the two together. It's a pretty straightforward process. I think the most time consuming part is synching the data file with the video. RR3's tools for that are fairly easy and it only takes a couple minutes to get it close. The titles and transitions were added with iMovie.
I was well off what I ran in June, but it was still the most fun I've had at the track this year. A great way to end on a high note!
Awesome video! Watching your overlay is such a great learning tool. Based on the HP4 branding, is this a BMW tool for the data acquisition system on the bike? The lean angle was cool. But seeing your breaking points was very cool. Thanks for sharing.
