love the new avatar Steve.... here's my perspective on the session steve and I rode together http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=htt...ch?v=Oa_1raJicV0&feature=youtu.be&h=6AQE4pVop
I cant count how many times i turned around looking for Stephen to only see him a foot off my rear tire.
Video from the JDSA camera man. I outrun him shortly. Better videos to come. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5BR6OLDedA&feature=youtu.be
Glad you had fun on the "big bike". You looked pretty smooth in that video, but I did see you pass a couple of bikes on the short stretch coming into T5.......with a waving yellow flag in that area. Try to remember the "no passing" under a waving yellow, as there is already something going on in that section that doesn't need to get worse.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAntdWrXxMc&feature=youtu.be Much better video. Trying to work on exaggerating my body position.
I seen you few times on track. Glad you had fun. I know I did lol. Here are few videos from my sat run, damn go pro's battery decided to go dead on me shortly after lunch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s08H2uaBJaE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUHqVTJTpig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUvSNjJe7d0
It's not a race. I was using my R6 race bike, but some of the other JDSA camera guys were riding stock 675's (which is what the camera guy was riding in the video he posted).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoIyYYaQl4g&feature=youtu.be I'm uploading all of them but it's taking about an hour for every 4 minute video. The collision will also be up. That was the first time I've ever made contact with another motorcycle. At Nelson Ledges, my body made contact with a lapped rider at the kink but it's a first for my bike. Dumb move on my part.
I got a few videos uploaded last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mz_vPlTYtEo&feature=channel&list=UL (front) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuXVPmM7-30&feature=channel&list=UL (rear) *These 2 vids are from the same session and about 30 seconds apart. The rear camera I have on there is really a little key fob camera - not bad quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG6Yam96pcE (rear) Rob shows up in this about the 2:30 mark from turns 7-8 and I keep him behind me until the front straight! From there on he was gone! I was also running from my friend on the Aprilia that I lucked out and passed at turn 12
Thanks Marc!! I believe it was the DiSalvo school that made my difference - even though that day was rough and so time consuming and took a LOT of patience on my behalf, I feel so much better out there now. Still have a lot to work on, and I look forward to the time when I can almost master it all
If anyone has footage of the 3:00 I session and doesn't mind sharing the link I'd be grateful. My buddy took my bike out and low sided on 14 and I'd like to see the footage. If nothing more than to just poke fun at him.
