Here's some vids from Intermediate on Saturday. 1st one takes a bit to get going since it was my 1st session of the day. I skipped the very 1st one. So start around the 8:30 mark. A WERA novice comes by and I chase him for a couple of laps till he is held up navigating traffic. Session 2 on Saturday Start at 8:30 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_hFqvxqBm4&feature=share&list=UUgt26LbXeN6KmsW6WQqIIZA Session 3 on Saturday. Start at 5:00 when Biggsrr07 comes by on lap 1 and I quickly lose sight. You sandbagger! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S55jKPf8VqA&feature=relmfu Apologies to the girl/guy at the 8:40 mark. I tried to give you the line but was at my braking limit and didn't mean to pass on your tip-in. Hope I didn't spook you too bad and I threw my hand up on track to acknowledge my mistake. I also backed it off on passing that late going forward. Also thanks to the guy at 13:43 for the early pit in notice. Thats exactly the right time to get your hand up - unlike the guy in sobatta video My fav camera angle... Start at 7:20. Guest appearance by Larry at 7:25 - holding me up! Lol. Larry I wanted to play! Oh well... next time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jyengo9YS78&feature=relmfu Tapatapatippitap
Nice laps Saltman, sorry I messed up the session 2 I was hoping you had me on video. Didn't lock up the rear brake, engine locked up. Not a fun ride.
Aww man! Sorry to hear that. Glad to know it wasn't the rear brake tho! How did you make out? They take you on a siren ride? Another forum guy phone banging.
Nice vids. I remember you going by and thinking to myself ohhhh lets go catch our friend Saltman . I was working with a rider that session, so couldn't play, but there will be other sessions for sure. Ltyson
Just took the free ride to the pits. Gear did it's job, just got some good bruises. Bike took a ride to the clinic. I'll be back.
Here is a saturday video from Stephens bike. I think it was I group http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqtFnvPS0OE
Yep. Last session of the day, two red flags back to back on the first lap. I was right behind you guys on that 2nd first lap but I saw the red flag right as they pulled it out at turn 14 and so I pulled into the pits while you both kept going cause you just missed it. That was gonna be a fun session. Oh well. Another forum guy phone banging.
This is the other video from Stephens camera from sunday. He has a few more on his card that he is gonna post. http://youtu.be/ZaBxi-NzrpA
Hey Brett, thanks for taking my wife out on the 2-Up ride! Here's the vid:
You are right Vern, I have to focus a little more. Had a great time, see you all next season, hopefully with a little smaller bike; although the Busa is a blast out there.
It an easy mistake to made, we've probably all done it at one time or another. I wouldn't normally pull someone in for that, I' probably wait until the end of the session and try to catch up with them in the hot pit area. Looking forward to seeing you out there next year. Make sure you grab one of the coaches if you have any questions.........we love to be able to help.
That seems to be routine in Novice. We had a crash/red flag in turn #2/3. We made it around turn #5 and guy had his leg out doing about 35mph. Kept his leg out all the way to the museum still doing 35... I know the lead instructor always stresses getting off the track as quick and safe as possible during a red flag, but it might be a good idea to have the coaches stress that again at the cones, or in the individual meetings before they cut the riders lose.
