It is indeed looking like I may have opened a can of worms... Hopefully, I'll have enough food to go around. looks like i may have to upgrade to commercial grade gear, sooner, rather than later.
No worries, though- I'll grab a couple more pork loins and another bag of charcoal- all will be well.

I did a little shopping today to get ready- I went down to Philadelphia's Italian Market to get some fixin's. First, we stopped for lunch, because you shouldn't shop on an empty stomach:

the line for Pat's famous steaks goes well around the block, it's well worth the wait![IMG]
    MMM!!![IMG]
Next, back to the task at hand: the Spice Corner for the secret ingredients for my rub & bbq sauce:[IMG]
The Spice Corner also has a great selection of legumes; there are 7 varieties of beans that go in my Rum Beans:

This is sooo getting out of hand- which is fantastic; I wish Buck was around to coordinate for me, because he's so good at that. Without Buck, I'll have to wing it.

Ok here's the new dealio: bringing something is still optional, however, if you're so inclined, feel free to bring something that's not already being made, that you feel you make well. (let's try to keep it as much homemade & family-style as possible) Family recipes are strongly encouraged! Hints & suggestions: Potato salad, corn bread, pasta salad, jello salad apple cobbler, what ever. use your imagination, and please post what you're planning to bring, so we can avoid duplication. we'll also need hamburger buns.
    this is gonna be good.

Bring 2-3 packages, I've got several packages in the freezer. if we need more, we can always send someone out to get them.

    Stealing the Smoker

    Lance:

I am sending a team to bring (steal) the smoker back home to Autobahn. Man we miss you out here. Barber and the que was over the top.

Do people really know how famous you are in the Mid-West? I have been dreaming about the lamb ever since the last que. This is not something to miss. See you soon, I hope. Let me know the days/ tracks you will be running this year.

Take care , John, wanna be back on an Aprilia, Burton

Thanks to everyone that turned out! It was great to see old friends and meet new faces. it's time to start planning for the next event. July
hmmm... let's see, possibly July 21 & 22, Summit Point "Jefferson" as the next date, unless I get some special requests that are too good to pass up...
