ok...so the proper term is: a flock of birds a herd of caribou a chatter of budgerigars a cast of crabs a creep of tortoises and a shit-ton of dragons
Re: Clouds are parting - time to party at Grattan this weeke Perfect I may not be fast, but I can look fast...
Zack, you're welcome It is a pleasure working with students who want to learn and you show quite an enthusiasm to learn. Keep it that way!! You look smooth thru the turns, and you're fast. Find me at Autobahn, and we will work some more! Awww! Thank you! And Jig, thank you so much for your instruction at Grattan, both times. You made my day on Saturday! It's a pleasure to be a student when you feel how much the teacher cares My bike, Garfunkel, is a Suspension Porn Star! w00t!!! It was great seeing everyone! t.
Hi Zack. Your thanks is appreciated. You've made progress in leaps and bounds since you started riding a bike on the track at the end of last year. That's excellent but sometimes can do more harm than good. Case in particular: Turn 2. Here was a situation that you couldn't quite handle at that speed and it ended in an off track excursion. Glad you came away unhurt but some more experience (at your newfound speed) and you would have scoffed at the front end chatter and motored through the corner. I think you just came in a tad hot. I think you should stay at the 1:30 mark (or even back off a few seconds) for the next few events and get to a point where you can do it in a comfortable, consistant and smooth manner. I don't mean to sound like a broken record or that I'm serving a reprimand because I think you're a great rider and have some natural talent that many people including me wish they had. I just want to see you smiling and pain free at the end of every event. :!:
The theory behind scrubbing in a tire is all the more relevant for me... need to get the residue off.
I see someone even graded his work. Kim??? Notice he got a "D", maybe it was suppose to be square. What else does that work on? Any chance you turned Wayne's old SV into a new R1?
I appreciate all the constructive criticism I can get. The bike will be fixed by the end of the week and will be ready to get toutered around Gingerman in 2 weeks.
