Thank you for the reminder, I'm sure we would have figured this out, but we can't make it to Barber due to having to race at Roebling. Not only do we have the Central/Eastern time zone change, but we lose an hour? Uuuuuugh.
Ahh yeah.... I experienced that coming back from a weekend at Putnam going back to GA once years ago.... I was like Ok... I will do the last session on the second day... Im here anyhow,, (Non STT Event).... Loaded up the truck... Looked at the watch and said.. Cool its only 5PM My buddy said actually its 6pm with the change... I was like...OK EST Right? He said no CST... I was like ok.. I have a 10 Hour drive and a 730 AM Conference call to host tomorrow AM... I stopped twice to releive myself and fill up but made it back to Atlanta around 5:30 AM... Was able to shower and grab a cup of Joe before the call... Oh the things we do for great tracktime... Wouldnt change it for the World...:thumb::thumb::thumb:
Just found out that I'm flying to Dallas tonight and won't be back until midnight Thursday. Guess I'll be finishing my bike prep at the track Friday evening
Nah, some cardio to get the blood flowing then some whole energy food like apple slices and honey will do you much better than a bunch of chemicals.
Well said Trev...we sometimes exaggerate our partying out of the sheer exuberance and exitement of the up coming events...but we're lightweights in all honesty, and are pretty responsible....this aint' Lawn Bowling after all....we take safety very seriously, and the staff even more so....gonna be a blast!!
I like nuts, water, and tea to fight off sleepy. Road trips always end up triggering a craving for jerky, which besides the sodium and chemicals, is protein, which helps you stay awake. Oh, and getting glasses for driving. Being able to drive without constantly squinting has made a huge difference in driving fatigue.
LOL...well after riding all day...party a for a couple hours and everyone fades....plus it's a waste to ruin yourself for Sunday...:thumb:
Awesome. I guess I'll be bringing some regional stuff to share then. And my favorite food for this stuff is definitely peanut butter and honey sandwich and some fruit plus gatorade and water.
My friends and I will be there and we'll have a couple sets of general tools and then some. We'll be happy to help too, if you need anything.
Thanks guys, but it's just easy stuff. Have to safety wire the oil filter, pull fuses, tape up lights, remove the license plate and then any other little things I can't think of right now.
