Please note that Friday parking will be different (out on the access road) due to the museum expansion construction.

Gates open approx 5:30-6:00pm Friday night and stay open til 9:00pm, if you make it in by 9:00pm you can then come 24/7, if you don't make it by 9:00pm gates re-open Sat at 7:00am-9:00pm and Sun 7:00am-5:00pm. Barber is in the Central Time Zone.

There is now NO gate fee for Sportbike Track Time events at Barber

We ride R*** or shine, please come prepared for Southern rain showers.

You must walk to the Porsche building and get your wristband before you can get into the paddock. If you need camping or electric, you can pay for that when you get your wristband.

If you arrive early please park where the gate guard directs you to park. No drinking of beer or alcohol allowed in parking area's and no changing bike oil in parking area's.

Please note that Sportbike Track Time is the ONLY organization that Barber allows to "stage" in the museum parking lot (at least once construction is done)... we want to keep it that way!

No glass bottles are allowed in the Barber paddock - bring plastic cups!

Camping is available and you pay the track for that.

Electric is available in the lower pits against the fence and in the upper pits in both sides and you have to pay the track for that.

Sportbike Tire Service will be there with their usual awesome prices on Michelin Tires.

Tire service will be open Friday night 7:00pm-9:00pm to help you out. Then 7am to 7pm Saturday and 7am-3pm Sunday. We can now remove and replace your wheels for you if you do not want to get greasy.

Huey from Marietta Motorsports will be there for all suspension and tech needs.

Sign-up opens 7am both days and closes at 10:30am for the day. Please be on time.

Tech opens 7am and closes 10:30am each day.

Please note some NEW tech rules regarding GoPro (or similar) cameras:

    - all Gopros mounted on a motorcycle must have a tether from the camera case to a point on the motorcycle.

    - helmet mounted Gopros are not allowed at all on track

    - in our novice group, Gopros are not allowed on track in the morning sessions - in the afternoon sessions they are fine as long as the above rules are followed.

Mandatory riders meeting 8:20am BOTH days, Intermediate riders are first on track at 9am.

Sorry to say, pets are NOT allowed at Barber.

Showers are available on the second and third levels.

Race gas and street gas is available on second level, credit cards only.

Please keep your area clean and do not leave any race gas cans or tires when you leave.

We must be out of the paddock by 7:00pm Sunday night.

Any questions, please post up here.

    Sorry...noob questions...

I live in the B'ham area...so won't be camping or staying at the track.

I can come set up my tent in the paddock area Friday evening?

I understand I will be able to purchase gas on site, and do not need to bring my own gas cans as I had planned?

    kisertn What's an apex?

I have not been to Barber but, if it is like other tracks I have been to, gas at the track costs an arm and a leg. I was at Blackhawk Farms this past weekend and strolled over to check the prices and it was near $10/gallon. I was glad I had brought my own gas.

I figured that might be the case. I will bring my own! Thanks!

The gas at Barber is reasonably priced. At least for 93. In my experience, if gas is $2.30/gal at a gas station, it may be $2.85 at Barber. I don't feel that it is unreasonably higher.

Yes, you can come in Friday evening usually after 6PM and before 9PM to set up; It's actually recommended you do. You can leave your bike there also it is safe. I usually bring my own gas, and only use the pump if I run out.

Set up in the paddock area? Correct?

And I have to go somewhere to get a wristband first?

Correct. Plenty of space. If you come before 6, you will be sitting out front on the street most likely with everyone else waiting to get in (Porsche School). Then you will drive up to the building by the entrance past the Museum - there is where you go sign in and get your wristband. If you are camping overnight or want power, that is also where you will sign up and pay for it. That wristband gets you in/out of the track 24/7.

I'll be coaching in Novice on Saturday, please make sure to say Hi my name is on my Jersey!

They talk about camping and how to register, but does the camping they talk about include sleeping in my truck tent or the trailer at my paddock? Or is camping somewhere else?

Registration will likely be open for an hour from 7:00 to 8:00 (or around that time) Tech will not be open until Saturday morning at 7:00.

That doesn't mean that you can't, on Friday night, have someone (staff) take a look at your bike and see if there's anything that needs to be done before going to tech :)

The good news is, once your bike passes tech, you don't have to come back unless you crash and have to be re-teched, so you may get that hour on Sunday...

Yep...seems one time...maybe New Orleans?? was able to get the bike Teched Friday night...but then I could be dreaming also!! Not being much of a morning person and not liking the big, hectic rush on Saturday mornings (as I enviably get there a bit later than planned!), I was just hoping to get a jump on things and make life simpler!

    But thanks for the response.

If it takes you longer than a hour and fifteen minutes to get your bike out of tech you might want to invest in a Alarm clock..
