This will be my 4th new track to ride this year alone. I think I know how to approach new tracks by now. Thank you for your condescension. ...I mean consideration. Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
Just be aware that any bumps will depend on space available in A group. If it is filled to capacity you may not be able to move up that day. There is a maximum rider density per group. I don't know how full the A group currently is.
Hey, I don't know the backstory, so just trying to help is all. You're welcome :bounce: I'll be there coaching this weekend. I'll be pitted basically right next to the concession trailer on the second level in a red/black trailer. I'll be coaching Novice this weekend but you're welcome to come find me in the pits and i'll be happy to go out with you in Intermediate (assuming that's what you're riding?) All the coaches there have A LOT of miles on that track and will make sure you're riding in the group you need to be in. :thumb: edit: yes, assuming the group you want to bump to is not at capacity
I'm sorry. You're trying to help and I'm being a jerk. Let's just have a great weekend! Edit: Thank You! Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
One other VERY important thing to consider is that your bike is prepped to the STT rules for Advanced. Bike prep rules vary by organization and if your bike isn't prepped to the STT requirements, even if you are "bumped" and there is room in A, you won't be able to ride in A.......they'll just put you into the computer system for the next time. You probably already know that, but just a heads up word to the wise.
Lol.........I woke up a sleeping monster this year. Thousands of dollars and no family vacation.........but who the hell cares! Barber here we come ........AGAIN!
I don't know, I've often considered Barber a sight-seeing vacation....you've got the museum, you've got all the beautiful landscaping throughout the entire grounds, you got all the sculpture and architecture, and you get to do a track day with STT. Sounds like the perfect vacation to me!
Done. Bike is CMRA race ready other than a brake lever guard. Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
I have been waiting a long time to ride at Barber. Finally, the time has come. Needless to say I am super excited! I signed up for Novice on Saturday and I am ready to learn the track. I look forward to meeting some new people and gaining valuable knowledge from the instructors. Side note: I noticed that tire changes will be available Friday night at 7 p.m. Will it be obvious where to go? We plan on arriving Friday and I just wanted to get the cups off the wheels before I ride in Novice. Plus, I don't feel like rushing in the morning. I appreciate any input you seasoned Barber vets may have. Cheers, Mike
Front of the pit's by the control tower. Can't miss it. Same place registration and tech is in the am
I still want to do a sighting session in Int to get a feel for the track. ... if that isn't too much to ask. Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
I think we just have Kirk Sunday in A so he should be leading the whole group out first session. I'll be coaching I group Sunday but since we run our session rotation as I/A/N I can likely just go back out and ride with you in A that first session if you want. The first A session should have the first couple of laps at a slower pace anyway as we want everyone to take a look at the track to look for any changes that may have happened since their last visit there.
