I will, I will! I just have to finish insulating the trailer floor before we leave this afternoon. It got to cold last night at 2am to finish.
Yes, that is where you will be put in a group with people that are in the same skill set as you as far as first time being at Road Atlanta. I did the event Saturday. You will have a great time. Drink plenty of water.
Triple C is correct. He was on a Goldwing and riding the hell out of it. He was faster than a good bit of the novice riders. Only thing holding him back was speed on the straights. I was thoroughly impressed.
Hey, I had a great time, I agree I need morepowwa workin on that with top secret GL1800 engine mod with programer, but in the meantime Im just gonna run it. I love my bike. I learned alot Saturday and the crew at STT are really top notch. Ive been on the fence about a track day on the GL1800 and finally did it. So if anyone is out there reading this post and are thinking of doing a track day and just keep putting it off, just do it. Suggestion, get your riden buddy plan on spending the night on a friday, sat, leave out on sunday to go home. For the Novice first timer believe me Saturday is plenty to get the thrill of a track day, but if you are feelin good and are not to sore run it on Sunday too. Keep The Rubberside Down, Twist It Harder It Will Go Faster, Craig
It was great meeting all the people that made the track day happen. I never realized how much goes into an event like that. I cant sleep, just keep thinking about twisting the grip at 40 past the hour, man I need to go ride somewhere.
Thanks Ugar, Im glad to see you didnt have to get that stick out. Im sure its on here somewhere, when will the next Barber track day be ?
Still Wondering why A-Group was always led out all in one pack and not sub-grouped at least by 30 secs in between. I believe this would have prevented many red flags that went out on Sat and Sun. Overall, I had great time and couldn't ask for a better weather on Sunday!
May I just say that I had a FABULOUS experience at my first track day! Brett was wonderful and Ogre was kind enough to work with me personally so I learned a TON! Great to meet a good bunch of the other staff too. Can't wait for next time! Oh, and I hit 100!!!! Peanuts to some folks but a huge milestone for me and my Ninja 500 - The Joker. It's purple. :cheer:
He told me they weren't coming to Barber anymore.....LOL! Instead, they were going to change the yearly trip to Road Atlanta.
Marc, Johnny and the boys are driving back today. I left @330 and had to work today. In a nutshell...we all fricking loved it. Johnny had some arm pump/cramping issues but he rode really well for the first time there. It was my 3rd time there & I absolutely love it!!! Only down side to the weekend was not seeing YOU there.
Joe I hear ya man... I was driving back from Kentucky last night thinking about you guys there... Its the first event I have missed there in quite some time however I had some Family stuff to work on... Regardless Bill and I decided we will be pitting with you guys in March at Barber... See ya there...:thumb:
Daniel, it was great meeting you and playing with you from 2-9. The Monster completely run out of steam at 9 and would take until 2 to catch back up.:bounce: Doesn't matter, it's a great bike to ride. Ogre and Derrick, great to meet you guys in person finally after being on the same boards for years. Marc, sorry we missed you this weekend. I'll try to make at least one or two a year now instead of 3 years between.
You too, man! Was great finally putting a face with your name. I hope we'll have a chance to ride together at the track next year.:thumb:
