Weather looks awesome for next weekend. Really looking forward to getting in another date at Road Atlanta!!!! :wheel: :woot: :bounce:  PLEASE NOTE OUR ON TRACK SCHEDULE: Saturday: 9am-12pm, 1pm-5pm (ie: normal) Sunday: 9am-10am, 12pm-dark (ie: not normal) We will run on Sunday as late as we can with the setting Sun. We will adjust sessions in the afternoon so that all groups get an equal amount of track time. It will really just mean a couple minutes shaved off of some of the rotations to accommodate this. SUNDAY RIDERS: You MUST be at the Rider's meeting at 8:20am. If you decide you don't want to ride until noon, that's fine - but you can't skip the rider's meeting. Tech and Registration open 7am Saturday and Sunday morning, and close at 8:20am for the rider's meeting. They will re-open after the rider's meeting. Road Atlanta is in the EASTERN time zone. If you are riding both days, you only need to register and tech once - on Saturday. Novice riders: I would advise pitting close to the footbridge across the front straight, as you will be going to the classrooms which are located in the outer paddock. Saturday night we'll have MotoGP qualifying from Valencia on the big screen! Gates will open at approx 6pm on Friday and are 24/7 through the weekend after that. Just go to the gate guard to pay and get your band. We ride R*** or shine, come prepared. There is a $5.00 gate fee per day for anyone entering 16 years of age or older at all Sportbike Track Time events. BRING SOME CASH WITH YOU. Camping is allowed and free. We are using the "new" turn twelve and the chicane at turn two-three. We are using the "new" (inside) pit area. There is very little 30 or 50 amp power in Road Atlanta's pits. If you have a generator, bring it. Tire service will be open from 6-9pm Friday, all day Saturday, 7am-3pm Sunday. We bring over 100 tires to each event at killer prices, if you need tires, wait till you get there. We also have t-shirts, back protectors and gloves with us at great prices. Gas is available at the track, its race gas and pricey, there is a jiffy mart thingy about 2 miles from the track. Showers are available. Kenny from Superbike Suspension will be on site suspension service. Pets are allowed but MUST be on a leash at all times. Please "clean up" after your pets. Any questions?, post up here please.
Tire Service Gentlemen I am coming to ride this weekend if the Army doesn't jack up my leave and the boss lady gives me the thumbs up to ride since I have not seen her a "hot minute." Can I purchase a set of shoes for my bike before I arrive? Why you ask? Because if I tell my wife I am riding both days and shell out $400+ for a weekend and again $400 for tires I may be divorced this time. I figure I can use my "throw down" debit card and buy my tires, show up at the track, get the tires done and why she stands over me like a hawk to see if I will be paying for them smile and roll on like nothing ever happened. Also, if she does find out what I spend riding I have to naturally give her a sum of money to spend in Atlanta while I am riding.......keep a brother riding! Any advice and or help would be greatly appreciated! Joseph
Yes - not a problem to buy tires at the track, and we can handle the transaction so discretely it would make a drug dealer jealous!!! t
I need to pay before we roll that way Friday if possible.....or else foot in arse via a size 5 in womens shoe... If not I will have to come up with plan b. Which will cost me $$$$. Give her some funds, send her to Buckhead, and let her shop while I work on my bike, yeah thats real cost minded...lol. She will spend all the money I stashed for next race season in 5 minutes (literally). No really I am the boss and I am in charge of my house.....seruously I am. Joseph
*(Quick plug for the Sportbike Tire Service folks) They are GRRRRRREAT. Gave me a hellaciously good deal on a brand new set of PP3s (which will be touching tarmac for the first time on Saturday) and gave me TONS of great information after asking a bunch of questions I hadn't considered. 10/10 would buy again.
Disregard about to order a set via sportbike tire service. Now I need to buy a set of leathers for next year
Yeah buddy, making the trek down from Iowa :rawk: So I have two questions; 1. Is there going to be a boil I can contribute to? 2. Are the gummies staying up North? ound:
I hope the adventurous orange gummy bears stay up north. This is going to be a great weekend... As long as I finish insulating the trailer for the cooler nights, and I can get power for the heater. Happy wife and child, means happy me!
I wont be there... I will be in Kentucky Thurs to Sun...Sorry Guys but also with work and family obligations (NON STT FAM) my season is done.... I might try to venture down to Jennings in Jan or Feb if the temps are good......
You have nio idea how hard it is not to make this.. Especially when I live 20 Min from the track...
On days you coach there do you just gear up at home and ride the track bike over?? I would be tempted
