Does anyone have an extra front tire warmer I could borrow this weekend at Tally? Mine is still out for repair at Chicken Hawk Racing.

Please PM me or just reply after this post!

    Thanks

Enjoyed the weekend! Not gonna lie the heat finally got to me by mid afternoon sunday.

My praise goes out to all the corner workers who endured hours of sitting in the heat both days.

STT as usual put on a well run weekend.

It was nice meeting you Jeffrey and I wished I could have put in a few more laps with you. By 3:30 Sunday I was all but spent and dreading my 5 plus hour drive home. You looked good the lap I did follow you especially considering you have never been there before. Good luck to you next month with Wera. I will see you there!

likewise Roy! i wish we would have hooked up a little earlier. i was definitely struggling in a couple areas. but yeah, the heat was killer. not sure i'll be signing up for the solo next month, may just stick to the sprint races.

we will definitely see you next month. :thumb:

I won't be entering the solo. Instead I will pay for the two practice sessions on Saturday then hammer down come Sunday in my sprints. I got in some good quality laps this weekend and worked on some of my known weak areas. Yes the place is rough on tires, 2 rears for me on the weekend.

Thanks for getting the fairings for me Jeff. Roy saves the front tire by keeping it about 2" above the surface for most of the track. Gives new meaning to show me a wheel. Had a great time even with the heat.I couldn't hang with Roy, but did get a new PB session before I packed it up.

    yeah man, not a problem.

and as for Roy, when he went around me in the last session I stuck with him for about a lap and was laughing the whole time, because he was wheeling on the exit of every corner just about. great stuff. one beast of a bike. lol..

it has to be tough to wrestle that thing around.

Todd as always its a true pleasure hanging out/riding with you, John, Fred and the others who's names escape me at the moment.

I didn't get a chance to Hollar at you before you got out of there Sunday but I wanted to let you know that you've really improved your riding since we first met way back last year at barber. You looked really good out there. :thumb: keep up the good work!

Got a few hand blisters from the weekend, rode most of Sunday with taped up hands  this was my first trip there since having Livengood Motorsports dyno tune the bike, it was quite a handful to say the least

Who were all those "fast guys" in Advanced that kept passing me? It was crazy... Some of you guys and gals went around me about 3 times each session!

Great weekend at Tally! This is not my favorite track, but I really enjoyed riding it this weekend! That track is so rough on tires, I ran some used tires, which are now 100% cooked! Yes it hurt corner exits since the rear just wanted to spin, but it is more wallet friendly. I hope I didn't hold any one up!

Todd, you were riding at a great pace!

Shout out to "the boy": I rely enjoyed riding the 250's with you for that Sunday session!

Also; it was great to see so few red flags! I the ambulance rolled once, but the person turned out to be OK and rode later in the afternoon.

Thanks to Michael Julian for letting me borrow a front warmer!

It was great seeing John, Emily, Todd, John C, Steve, Mike L, Ed, Hailey, etc... I couldn't ask for a greater group of friends to ride with.

That definitely wasn't me but when all you fast guys passed me I tried to keep up and dropped times like flies. A lot of you are ridiculously fast and make me want to drop more money so I can better myself.

Ouch, I believe I came by you on pit lane and you had just hopped off to look at that rear tire. I could see the tearing band on it as I rode by.

What type/brand tire and what PSI were you running?

My Michelin big slicks wore but it was usual wear. They had nice even wear all around. No tearing, excessive rubber balling or any of that. I have destroyed a number of them in the last year and half on my 1000. With the help of some knowledgable guys in the SE I have a grip on them now. Pressures and to hot a warmer temp was my initial problem.

Yeah, you did. I knew something was up. It didn't feel right at all. It's the Dunlop. 23 psi hot like recommended. This unfortunately was a bad one. I changed it out with another one and it had normal wear. I just bought it at the Barber wera race. I'm gonna call em this morning and see what they say. Wish me luck
