Congrats on the bump! I had 2 of my friends get bumps yesterday. 1 to I and 1 to A. I set a new pb time to boot. Other than my tire deal, it was a great day!

I had a blast as well. Great to see everyone as usual:thumb:

I was exhausted Sunday night as I rode three Advanced sessions and all the Novice, the heat beat me into submission by the end of the day:eek:

276 total track miles over the weekend:wheel:

First track day and want to say thanks to everyone with STT. They put on a well run event and all the staff were great. Paul was my instructor who did a great job and set a good pace to help get us started. I'm terrible with names but I borrowed someone's electric impact (who runs in the advanced) to swap out my sprocket and want to give a big thanks... Planning on giving Barbers a try next month so hope to see everyone there.

This weekend I took a couple of friends of mine to the track. One had a bad first experience in his first track weekend, so I recommended him to join me this weekend. He did a couple of sessions and he just couldn't ride. He was slow, would not shift his butt, didn't lean, nothing. He is also one of those that get frustrated and never ask for help. However several instructors approached him and started giving him advice throughout the entire day. At some point all of what you all said clicked in his brain and he started leaning and turning, and he got faster and faster. By the end of the weekend he had the largest grin I have ever seen in his face. I thought I was going to lose him when he got frustrated. This is why I recommend all novices to go with STT, you guys are always willing to help even when people are not asking for help. You guys rock! :thumb:

As for me, I had a blast. Had fun chasing the kid and the other dude on the 250s through traffic. I have the video of that but forgot your username to send it to you. Thanks Vern for showing me the lines, for some reason your hand gesture thingy gets burned in my brain faster than just following another bike. I have a list of things to work on at the next track weekend, hopefully Barber in Oct.

Now there was only one scary moment for me this weekend. I was on the ride back home sitting in the truck at night with my laptop reviewing videos when suddenly this appeared on my screen. I like Yoshi pipes, I think they sound great, but maybe pick another model to use for advertising? Maybe female? Or maybe a less scary male? :)

mars, I am glad you had a good time! I'm even more happy your friend had a good time after a bad experience. We always want everyone to have a great time and work very hard to that end! Thanks for convincing your friend to come out and give it another try and to do so with STT!
Your scary moment is indeed very frightening!!!! It's a good thing the camera still worked after that!!! :D
BTW, I literally laughed out loud at that post.

MARS.....Mario.....glad to hear that your friend ended up having a great time with us...that's what we love to hear for sure. As far as pointing to lines and apexes, turn in points, etc., I always try to do that as much as I can, as to me, it is easier to see a visual reference rather than just letting someone watch my lines and try to figure it out. You were looking good out there...just keep up the good work.

As far as your "scary" moment.........see what we have to put up with......err.....I mean enjoy all the time. Ogre LOVES to photobomb gopros!
