Gates will open at approx 6pm on Sunday and stay open till 10pm, re-open Mon 7am

We ride R*** or shine, come prepared.

There is a $5.00 gate fee per day for anyone entering 16 years of age or older at all Sportbike Track Time events. BRING SOME CASH WITH YOU.

Camping is allowed and I don't think they charge for it.

We are using the "old" fun turn twelve and no chicane at turn two-three.

We are using the "old" good pit area with chalet being used for sign up and tech and tires.

There is very little 30 or 50 amp power in Road Atlanta's pits. 15 amp only, so if you are bringing a motor home or fun mover be pre-paired to gennerate.

Tire service will be open from 6-9pm Sun, 7am-4pm Mon

We bring over 100 tires to each event at killer prices, if you need tires, wait till you get there.

We also bring Tire warmers, knee sliders, lap timers, back protectors and gloves with us at great prices.

Gas is available at the track, its race gas and pricey, there is a jiffy mart thingy about 2 miles from the track.

    Showers are available.

Superbike Suspension will not be at this event.

Pets are allowed but MUST be on a leash at all times. Please "clean up" after your pets.

Any questions?, post up here please.

    Road Atlanta............Here we come!

A couple of questions about tire service at Road Atlanta:

    1. Are the STT tire store prices the same as at the track; what is the cost of mounting/balancing?

    2. Any one had experience with the new power pures vs the 2CTs?

    3. Pressure recommendations?

    Thanks

Online prices are a little different but not much.. This all depends on the Inventory of tires that is brought to the track.

Mounting YOUR tires and not STT's is $20 a wheel with wheels off the bike and clean.. If you want us to remove them add an additional $20 per wheel.

STT Tires bought online or at the track are $15 Per Wheel. These must have the shipping sticker still on them. Again if you want us to take the wheels off the bike its an additional $20 a wheel.

Pressures for the new Pures are 31/30

    Power Ones and Races 30-23

    Slicks 30-30

    All Cold Temps...

First time at RA - really looking forward to it.
My question concerns my accomodations for Friday night. Is it reasonable to plan to arrive Friday evening, drop a trailer and other random stuff in the pits, then get to a hotel for the night? Is there security at all, and would you consider it to be safe?
I may be able to stay with a friend outside Atlanta, but if not, I wanted to consider other options. Or I can bring a tent and stay at the track with my stuff, but there is a possibility of my wife coming along on this one - and she isn't at all interested in sleeping in a tent in July. (What's up with that??)
    Thanks to all.

Marc we still cooking out and having a few drinks? I am getting the in-laws smaller camper so it won't be such a hog to tow. The grill will be out and ready for the meat! Also, I may need a number of how many peeps might eat so I can prep for the festivities. 24 hours to go and I will be at the house. I feel like a shit but I am more excited about the track then relaxing with the family! See you in a few days......Joseph

No need for payment! Use all you want! my wife is busting out the new margarita maker for the foo foo types out there. I will send out a menu for that weekend around Wednesday of that week. I can work on food prep on Friday afternoon prior to the gate opening since we will check out of our campground early and get to the track at 2PM so I can at least have some dinner ready for everyone Friday night. If I had an estimate I could prep. They supply the drinks I will supply some groceries. All is invited naturally. See you then...Joseph

Anyone interested in splitting a hotel room? If anyone's already splitting a double, I'd be happy to pay a third of the cost for a spot on the floor w/ sleeping bag.

I usually camp out in my Ford Econoline, but the A/C broke and I'm considering wussing out to avoid the heat/humidity overnight.

    Cell and email below.

haha, I'm not quite sure about that...

Another question: are we allowed to ride bicycles on course 'walks'? I'm really excited about seeing the course in slow-mo, but I can't say I'm looking forward to the back straight. :p

    Road Atlanta

Aww the days have finally passed (13 months 1 week and 1 day, but who is counting) and I finally get to ride my beauty at Road Atlanta this Saturday during Race School with WERA. I will assist any people with as much information as possible in reference to the track since it will be my first time too. Now, since I have slept in the hot ass desert for the past year I will be roughing it outside under the easy-up with my mosquito net and fan. Wife will not be in tow because I would be like everyone else, getting her ass a hotel room. Next weekend I will be in the A/C of our camper and if someone needs a place to crash feel free. I extend this out to you all just because I am a hell of a nice guy and I know how it sucks to hear your wife bitching the whole time because they think it is hot (trust me I have been home for three days and all I hear is how hot it is). Plus, I like to hear the bench racing at night!

Oh one last thing, if you put up a tent and put a fan inside with one of the sides up it will freeze your ass out of there. Just thinking of the stuff we did to get cool.

    Re: Road Atlanta

    Joseph -
If it's possible, I would love to take you up on the offer for both nights. It's just me coming as the wife & son are going elsewhere for the 4th. It will save significant hotel costs.

Give me a call or send a PM.
