A good tire pressure gauge and pump/compressor. If you have a generator("quiet" inverter style), bring it. Maybe even rent one, it's a huge convenience to have one if you can't plug into a power source. A fan or two depending on the temps, I didn't use one last weekend at Barber, though. A small table, cooler, some common tools, extra gas, extra gear and parts if you have them and your enthusiasm. You're going to have a blast.

:thumb:Setting up the night before is the favored choice.

I just use a bicycle pump for the air, tire gauge is a must.

Set of tools to wrench with, I also include thread lock - blue & red -, gasket maker, duct tape....search this site for a track day check list for a decent list.

    Have fun at Grattan! :thumb:

24 pack of water per riding person :) Since it's going to be a little bit chilly don't forget about neck warmers - $10 at Cycle Gear

I wouldn't worry to much about what to take for the first track day. The must is your gear, motorcycle and a key to start it. Make sure you have enough gas and have some extra. A canopy and chairs is a good thing to have. The rest you can borrow if you need. Most of the riders are very friendly and will be more than happy to give you a hand. Concentrate on your riding and having fun ... You will quickly learn what you need for the next time. My list grows all the time ...

PS. Good point Aniolpl, water is a must

I always forget to bring a towel. You'll want to take a shower afterwards.

    This... check twice. Trust me.

The grattan crew is great. Plenty of staffers will be there friday night. Bring some cold beers and make a friend. Pretty much whatever you need and don't have, you will be able to borrow.

ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS!!!!! We are here to help, but we can't help if we don't know!

Bring a chair for everyone in your car and an EZ-UP if you have one. A cooler with some water is quite advisable as well. Other than that I'd just use this track day as a learning experience; make a note of all the stuff you have to borrow and if you decide track days are for you then you can start working on building your track kit.

I've been doing this for a few years and I still change up what I bring as I try to whittle down the tools and other stuff I bring with me.

If you have a "loud generator" like me just bring very long extension cords and place it in no mans land away from the pits then offer for your neighbors to be able to plug in.....keeps everyone happy

The no man's land is the crucial part. I've been a track days where people place them far away from them... But right next to some other people. They were getting the passive looks of disapproval all weekend.

And by using a long cord to get it out of there pits they up the load due to line drop. Meaning the rattle and bang machine they moved by the neighbors is even more obnoxious :rawk:
