I have not been to Gingerman in a long time, but was rather frustrated last time by the large seam/gap running around most of the track. I know, keep a good line and it's not a problem, but if I was that perfect, or never had to change lines to pass someone/be passed, I would be a professional rider! Have they fixed this at all? The only time I can get out in August is that weekend, so it's Gingerman or nothing. Thanks.
I wonder why they don't put more money into the surfacing? I raced karts there for years and it used to be in great shape. Grattan is so nice and well kept in contrast. Actually, Gingerman has a great setup with the "infield" on the outside, too bad it's not as well kept. Well, I'll be there anyway, can't miss a track day when I have the chance to go.
Gingerman Aug 13th Well I'm looking forward to y second new track in 2 weeks. I'll be there. i know it's no big deal to you, but it will be for me. Seams? That's the best you can do? Seams? After riding the the motorcross track...... Grattan, this past weekend. Seams will be easy to avoid. I really don't care, I'm gonna just ride over them. I gotta say.... Grattan was a big challenge, not knowing on the first lap, which way the track was going to go..... Man. Thanks to CR # 8 and # 9 whoever you are, for letting me follow you for a few laps. I think by the third session I was remembering what came next, a hill, a turn, or finally a big long staightaway where I could relax for a minute. It was a great day on Saturday, and I'm looking forward to another at Gingerman. Bill
i'll see u guys there. a wise man told me to "use" the seems to my advantage. there are many good reference points just using the seems. i luv the seems. it seems that i've said the werd seems many times in this post
Planning to do Sunday. Will there be a suspension vendor on hand? I need to get a new-to-me bike set up properly for the track.
Saturday for us After a great time at Grattan last Sunday 6 of us from Roush will be coming out to Gingerman for the 13th (we had 8 at Grattan....). Sadly Mark will not make it, he was the guy that dropped his 675 on the front straight, still a little sore but will heal faster than his bike. See you on the 13th
Re: Saturday for us Glad to hear he is doing ok. It looked like he was rashed more than anything. Gingerman is a lot of fun despite a lot of people having fears of the sealer strips.
can we do an on-track pit bike race? i recall a ducati fest at gingerman a few years ago where there was a pit bike race. i have a street legal scooter.
I just signed up and will be there with the family! Camping too. I was signed up last year and had to miss the event at the very last minute due to work. That won't happen this year. Superbike Italia web-site says they'll be there. Richard
If you're camping bring bug spray! Last year I hid in my tent after 6pm and didn't come out till 7am.
