Ok, so the schedule is not the easiest to read. From what I see there are two Grattan school dates, 5/13 and 7/08 correct? Doe anyone know if they're being run clockwise or counter-clockwise? Thanks!!
If it isnt 1:1, then the discription for the Pro School should be changed. From STT "For the person who wants to take it to the next level, Pro School is all day, one on one instructions on and off the track from a Sportbike Track Time Advanced coach." These are exactly the two areas I want to work on/get help with. Is it because of the time I passed you last year?? If so I am sorry I wont do it during the Pro School if your my teacher.
I have not been to every Pro School, but all the ones at Grattan have been 1 or 2 (at the most) riders per instructor. If for some reason a group would have 3, we would have another instructor take one of the riders. Sometimes this even happens when there are 2 very different riders in the same group. So you really get individual coaching. It's the best thing since your first novice day.
Yup, I followed O.G. around last year at the pro school. His method of teaching by pissing me off as he passed me into every corner on breaking was a little different I'll admit, but I'm a whole lot faster than I was. I highly recomend the pro school if you are interested in getting a race license, just don't try to out break Olli into turn 1 if he is your instructor.
I still don't have the confidence to out break you into 5 yet. Don't know if I ever will really. Oh wait, you don't use the brakes going into 5.
Races are won and lost in T5 at Grattan. After that all you really have to do is take away the inside line in the bus stop and not screw up (last lap scenario). Yes I use the brakes. I like the Dane Westby approach: No brakes the first time... off the track some brakes the second time.... off the track a little more brakes the third time... made it the complete opposite of us mortals.
Ahh yes, cresting the jump... with that weightless feeling of no gravity in the pit of your stomach at full stroke of your suspension...then the smooth compression as gravity returns... suspension settled and looking through T5...body position adjusting... preparing for the bumps at the apex that you are about to take at speeds never before reached...and you know what is starting to pucker...then a white and blinding yellow flash to your right...oh just Oliver taking you on the inside in seemingly total control!!! I remember it well!
Ollie will pass you anywhere and everywhere, not just turn 5. If you leave enough room, he will squeeze in there and TAKE IT from you. That's why he pimps the bass lure flourescent color, he wants you to recognize that you have been OWNED by him
You know Jig, I'm really taken aback when you put forth such profanity and inapprpriateness. It makes me feel very bad for your wife. Where is she, I want to hug her. a lot...........................
