I had a blast at Barber this weekend! HUGE thanks to all the staff and the novice instructors that helped me out. I learned more than I could imagine and felt comfortable putting it to use. Thanks to the ride right program to getting me on the right track!
I owe "I" group an apology (which I already delivered to Trevor). Remember that announcement Sunday at lunch..."Someone made a last minute pit decision in Intermediate?" Long story short, it was me. I had my reasons, but looking back they weren't worth risking the safety of my fellow riders. I apologize profusely to all of you and I'll do my best to make sure it never happens again. This isn't my first rodeo by any means, so I really do know better. It was a stupid, unsafe, selfish decision that risked the safety of others. I truly am sorry. Now that the touchy-feely crap is over...GREAT WEEKEND, y'all!!! I love the STT family!
I would like to thank the entire southern staff for making a northerner feel right at home. Met a lot of great people this weekend. The award for coolest guy on the planet has to go to Daniel Nelson. A true professional and gentleman. At 72 years old, still rolling and holding his own in "A" and after a slight incident, through no fault of his own, with a rashed up arm, demonstrated a level of sportsmanship and coolness you just don't see anymore. He is hard core all the way and a true inspiration to many. I look forward to seeing him at a few more events. :thumb:
Congrats on the knee drag! I enjoyed watching you improve throughout the day...you were rolling around there at a nice clip by the end of the day..hopefully we'll see you at the next one..
Thanks for a great Time down south Y'all... I enjoyed myself. New bike, rarely seen track was a bit challenging but it was an awesome weekend! I got Video of you from one of the Sunday sessions, I just need to cut it together and post it up... maybe later tonight or tomorrow... This is one from Saturday.
Had a GREAT time! It was very cool to meet some of the Southern staff and riders. Tough track for a first timer but what a great track! Just wish it wasn't a 14 hour drive LOL.
Sweet :rawk: ...unless of course, I was riding like ass and I don't want to see it. There are quite a few places im still trying to get dialed in at that track. Barber is my worst track; that is why i spent so much time riding this weekend. I only skipped 1 session all weekend and wouldn't have skipped that one if i could have helped it. I have a long way to go to get to where i want to be but getting help from the DiSalvo Speed Academy guys in the classroom and trying to chase the fast guys around the track this weekend was a big step in the right direction.
I guess you ended up buying a spot after all? I'm jealous now! I stayed around and watched a couple sessions Sunday before heading home, but I didn't see you.
Here is the rear cam, I couldn't get the front cam loaded as the video size is too big, but I'm working on it. It's all cool dude, I 'm in the same boat, this was the first two days on a new bike with no right setup yet... Also its only my 4th day at Baber.
front view when I was able to run you down and pass... :wheel: you gotta be a little bit more gentle on the ladies...:cheer: :sorry: sorry about the downgraded quality I had to use an older program to cut the clip down...
Had a great time and Aubrey and I loved the track, we will be back in Oct. We also loved the "I" group school. It would be a great stepping stone for people going into "I" And thanks to all the Staff
Nice videos, Stefan!!! We (read Steve) took Blake apart last night Sad Happy Blake had two of each  :crutch:
