not saying this will affect a schedule change or anything....but will at least summarize what is wanted by the masses... We have already voted that we like Grattan ccw, and that we prefer one day forward and one day backward. now...there are seven Grattan weekends currently on the schedule. and one of them is currently labelled as containing a ccw day.
when they had 2 regionals and a national here...they would run one regional ccw, and the other regional cw. and the national is always cw. this year there is no national, but 2 regionals. first one is ccw and the other is cw. edit: (holy crap did i have that wrong at first...) check wera schedule here: http://maps.wera.com/schedule/thisseason.asp?<%=linkvars%>#wncs
Voted for all. Here's a thought though. If STT was able to do every Grattan weekend with a CCW day don't do them all CW Saturday and CCW Sunday. Some of us can only make it Sunday.
Is it getting attention? If by attention you mean "are the powers that be watching this and paying attention to the will of the customer?" YES, I ASSURE you that Richard, and the regional directors are watching and reporting the feedback and using that feedback to determine the direction (no pun intended) that things go. Will it change the current schedule, well that depends on a lot of things... but your voice DOES count to them. In fact, I am willing to bet that its being heard loud and clear.
I've been to Grattan with other multi-day groups and the track didn't seem to mind if the decision to ride CW or CCW was made on the day. And we even did one day split with CW in the morning before lunch, and CCW in the afternoon. I imagine most people would like to schedule knowing for sure which direction they're signing up for, but it shouldn't be difficult to make changes if either STT or the riders want to.
I squeek for CCW! Include it, I loved it and it makes "going to Grattan" more to look forward to. I like Autobahn with the three options over three days for the same reason. My first track day was Grattan CCW in 2009. That's the event the dude flipped his GSX-R750 going over the jump. I was enjoying wheeling over it myself, but calmed down after that happened. Richard
Yeah, I only had a couple trackdays under my belt on that day and got a mean tank slapper over the jump. I went home and bought a steering damper. I cannot wait, is it warm yet?!!?
Just bumping this to the top in hopes of getting more Grattan CCW days. Interesting, more than 50% of all the votes go into #7 all of them should have a ccw day! Btw I just ran my first CCW day at Grattan two weeks ago and loved it. Later Steve
Yes, I have seen organizations make the decision to run CCW made the day of as well but I think out of respect for paying customers the direction should be determined beforehand. What if a customer shows up expecting to run CW, hates running CWW, and is now forced to run CCW when they paid expecting to run CW. Just my $0.02
I absolutely agree with Jane on this one, the customer should know what they paying for when they sign up. Steve
I agree also. So that everyone is informed up front ... all days at Grattan will be CWW! I can hope right?
This is great information. I see it and appreciate it. I will also listen to it, BUT please keep in mind it's 20 people of the potential few hundred that could attend these dates. With this information I will look into the amount of pre-registrations for the future events and do my best to incorporate a few more CCW days. Please understand, pre-registration customers have a strong voice. I will also do it on Saturday as well as Sunday if possible. Please note this is an attempt at a change and I am in no way saying 100% it's going to happen one way or another. I will always do what I reasonably can. Thank you all for your input, without it we can not improve. Kind regards Richard
Actually there were only 2 votes for "leave it like it is!" so 35 out of 37 wanted some change. 35 is a third of the people that would attend one of these days. Hey it's your show run it how you see fit. Nice to see your at least listening to your customers . Later Steve
