Agreed, but that infield turn requires an odd line and there's a quick setup for the double apex left afterward. I'm bringing three complete newbies to the track. I'm thinking it'll be a great track for them to get their get wet.
That right hander can be approached three different ways. There is a "fast" line, as in a "qualifying line"...but that line leaves you wide open for block passes. Then there is a "defensive" line, which isnt quite as fast, but closes off your inside. The race line is somewhere between those two. The race line is a line that still allows you to carry good speed on entrance, but doesnt leave your inside so wide open. A passing opportunity is still there, but it will take an aggressive move by somebody who is very confident in their trail braking abilities. How how i approach that corner depends on the situation and the people around me.
With all those lefts it almost looks like Big Tally . I'm sure once I get my break markers and everything down I'll be all good. Hopefully I can get my speed and skills back up. Would like to try and take the WERA school and hit a few rounds this year. That was the plan a while back, then work and life took over.
I will be there Saturday. hope to see some old friends and make some new ones. love this little track.
Im trying to do my 1st track day ever...wanted to start here. It was sold out so i signed up for the free entry....the R1 is prepped & the fingers are crossed.
My first trackday was an R1 at Barber and I was smoked!! Looking forward to Tally and riding a new bike.
Awesome. 30 lbs lighter than last time I was on track. Changed out springs, but will need some setup work.
