Hello STT Family, I was the goober who managed to get the rubber side up in front of the museum this past Sunday. Did anyone see it? I remember hitting face first on the asphalt and then waking up in the ambulance. I managed to break a few vertebrae, shatter my shoulder, crack ribs in 4 places, multiple stretched muscles, and a nasty concussion. I'm home now and managed enough strength to pick up my phone. Just wanted to give the STT family a shout out. If it had not been for the quick response, doctors said I would not have had much chance of living. Thanks Guys!
Damn! I know the feeling. You're going to be sore and weak for at least 2 weeks. Rehab and stretch often, when you feel better. Well wishes!
Anywho, other than being trolled by TLR67, everything is all well and just wanted to give you guys a heads up and a thank you. Take Care, Jeff
Glad to hear you're healing! Thanks for sharing. Do you know what caused it? Too much throttle + lean angle = high side?
Honestly, I am so new to this I am not really sure. I was getting lower than I ever have before. My knee was staying down for most of the day. As I was exiting the turn, I felt completely in control. My knee was down, lean felt good, my body position felt as if it was right, but, as I rolled into the throttle, I remember the rear tire losing traction and then being thrown into the air. After that, I woke up in the ambulance covered in throw up...
Jeff man! Glad you're mostly ok..... and don't mind the grammar nazi's here.... they're just upset because they're old and slow. Heal up and get back at it! You have now learned to control throttle application vs. lean angle. best, t
