I'm a newbie, first track day. What's the track day schedule on 29/30 July? Do we have access to a garage? Can we stay in the garage overnight? Is there a loading dock for pickups? Any access to showers? Are pit babes provided or BYOPB?
We are on the track from 4 PM TO Midnight both Friday and Saturday... Riders meeting around 3 PM I think and tech before.. No showers, No Loading dock but I will have a ramp you can use... Yes you can have access and stay in the garages... Pit Babes?? Well we do have some new Novice Instructors that have yet gone through their Initiation....
Just post up a craigslist ad for pit babes....thats what marc did last year. (that wasnt a secret was it? lol)
No, that was Jake trying to get ME some action...figured I might mellow out a bit! He doesn't need any help
I like those hours. That's when I normally wake up. Has anybody posted a detailed track map of Nashville, complete with pavement transitions? I'm trying to psych myself out after watching some highside youtubes at Nville. Those craigslist girls at hawt!
http://nashvillesuperspeedway.com/Nashville_Map_2010.pdf Follow the grey line... As far as the transitions dont over think them... As long as you dont go strait up and down on the front or divebomb the back you will be fine... On late and of Early is a good rule of thumb....
The novice instructors will take you around with you in tow behind so you can see a good line to go with. They'll take you slow at first as well and slowly work you up to speed at your pace. I wouldn't be scared. Every crash I saw happen in my novice class in Nashville was from running wide off the track...don't do that. I'm sure there are other ways, but that's all I saw. Slowly work up to speed and have confidence in your self, your bike, and your instructor.
Just noticed that....Good Catch Shakey.... Follow the grey line but in Turn 4 stay on the High Bank about 180ish all the way to Turn 1...
i will be there on sat, never been there .seems to be a 50 50 split on those who love this track and those who hate it. bet it will be a fun time regaurdless. see yall there
It will grow on you Jim.... Its got the high speed aspect and the tightest first gear turn in the South..... Its very very fun once you get a good rythmn down...
Will dew not be a factor riding at night. I had a blast at the spring session and just got a new set of Q2's on the big 14 and sending my shock to Traxxion for a respring and valve rework.
Nope... Dew and Bugs are not a factor... The concrete track is perfect ... especially under the lights.. I swear you see more at night there than you do during the day... The infield is good as well.. I think we have it down on portable light placement for 2-4 now too... I cant wait to get back there.. Had a blast there a few Months back...
Pull up those Granny Panties and deal with it!!! Seriously... You need to take the R1 around with those new Clipons.... WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
marc am I correct in my thinking that my new Q2's will be a step up from my Michelin 2ct's I used at the spring ride. I also went to a 55 series from a 50 then. Will the night sessions offer the 2-up session like the spring session? My wife has decided she wants to ride if if available. Thanks Peyton.
