not really great for power, but it'll help you get the pass. http://autoblog.com/2009/12/15/video-motorcycle-rocket-launcher-mayhem/
You got that right.... Shes looking Mean!!!!!!! Subframe and Paint... Should be ready for Barber in March...
"looks mean" is RIGHT!! I bet the transition from the "tiller" to that one will take a few sessions to get used to! I'll be there on march 14th. Maybe I can find a way to get in your group and let you show me around barber.
Good decision. You would likely have been fine in "I" but what about everyone else? Being in the proper group helps everyone be safer. It is likely that you will do the next one in "I" based on your buddies opinion but this gives you a chance to get the rules and environment under your belt at a reduced pace. Of course I also heard of people that thought they were the best and binned it in "N" or rode "I" and were the guy everyone else did not want around them since he was going down sometime that day. As to street vs track: You are running what you feel is hard as you aim for the tower in #4 headed up the hill coming over it blind WOT, as you drift back to the right at triple digits you wait for it.... wait.... finally you see #5 as you set up and get hard on the binders dragging it down two gears for a 180 degree left... thinking you are rocking the turn and just getting ready to turn in when someone blows by fast 6' inside of you and is gone. Now the first few times that will likely be a bit unnerving. That is unless you ride like that on the streets  Have fun, listen to the class and do what they say (the single gear drill is fun). I bet at the end of it you will have a better feel for where you belong, will have had a safe day, will have improved your riding (track AND street) and will have few if any regrets with a big grin
No problem at all.... If I am selected to help that weekend with coaching or tires I would be more than happy to take you around... Looking forward to it for sure...
Welcome aboard!! No problem with riding in the novice group you'll have a lot of fun, if you feel you should be bumped to the "I" group just ask one of the instructors to evaluate you...be safe and have fun...
Yep I was..... However couldnt afford it.... So I got this.... and well....... How can I say this... The engine blew after the 5th Lap on the first Advanced sesssion Sat. at Barber this weekend...[/list]
Yep... But life goes on Dave.... I can still irritate you with the TLR... : ) Anyhow.. know any good engione builders? Good news is is that its not seized.. Holds Oil.. idles fine... Just a knock when you gas it... Bad bearings and probally a tweeked Crank.. I am glad it happened where it did....I had some oil leaking out a little due to a bad gasket behind that vortex cover.. It was on the swing arm and rim...... If I would have powered out of 5 I would have been on my lid for sure.... with a totaled bike and a blown engine... 1 out of 3 isnt that bad I guess....
Always...... Whenever I am there just come get some... (Bring your own Sugar) And thanks again for helping this weekend Heather!! You Rock!
