Putnam Park Aug 24/25- Roll Call

its not the tracks decision to not let ppl camp, they'd love to have us camping there, it was an agreement between the town & the owners. They agreed to get ppl out by 6 if they gave them permits to build the track, very silly ordinance but it is what it is.

 

Ahh Okay. That makes a lot of sense. I guess it's the towns way of making their dollar off of us too?

 

yea seeing as we all are giving $70+ to the shit hole hotels there LOL :lmao:

 

It's gotta be the TD vs the racing I imagine. I've had guys standing on the outside of dead bear and a bike on the track at the bus stop and all we get is a waving yellow!

 

I think it's the farmers and neighbors who didn't want late night shenanigans.

Ok, So I find out today that I can make Sunday. Can't make Saturday due to family issues/commitments.

Intermediate is sold out for Sunday. Can't see Advanced in registration.

i got one for saturday at motel 6 already, i can bring the air mattress. We have 2 maybe 3 all together in there.

Yep, I know the new rules. I have spent half a session this year in Adv by mistake. (went out at regular I time and ended up in part of an A session, came in when I saw JT go by me ) Was running 1:16's with some consistency at ACC-N last outing before my STVA gave up the ghost.

And I know I'm a couple of seconds off the pace for A, regardless of my ability to be predictable or to tolerate close passes. Just don't think anyone would want me out in Novice (which is still available) running :23's & :22's at Putnam.

 

man craig, thats rough, i can keep ya posted by phone if ya want if a spot becomes available

 

That would be great! Missed the CCS round last weekend because I didn't get things back to working order in time to make it out. Would be great to get out Sunday.

i was just starting that this morning

 

They were very relaxed on red flags at both the race there two weekends ago and Ducati Indy's day Monday. They were also generous on the 6pm ruling for us as well. It was actually really nice.

And they leave the far gate open (closest to the road) so you can get there early and not have to sit in the road.

The track was awesome each weekend. It's getting a bit rough, but the times were showing that it still is fast. You all have fun. I am Putnam's out and will not be attending. Be safe.

 

Anyone know if there will be someone taking professional photo's this weekend?
