Yep, we'll be at Candlestone too. Red F-150 with a yellow and a blue SV. There are some fellow SV people coming. As of now, it doesn't look like it's going to snow Grattan Forecast.
Nope. Mrs Gigantic is stayng at home, having a girlie weekend, while I'm away. Tenetatively, her 1st track day will be at BeaverRun, provided she sells her BMW by then & picks up an SV.
Just got back, from the Team Chicago Race School & test & tune. I had a great time, even if it was colder than a witch's t%$. I was great meeting everyone from the board, EJ999, Wade, SV Girl and the rest of the SV crew. Quite a few STT faces there, K3, Dave G et al. I went looking for JigMoore, but he was hiding (or was that riding? I forget...) I now have a certificate enabling me to get my racers license, but i think, given the tall order of adapting from riding a big, heavy, torquey twin, to a proper, in-line 4 superbike, I won't be racing any time soon Rather than being 3-4 seconds faster, right off the bat, I only managed to go .2 of a second faster. granted this was on my 2nd session ever on the gnxr, so I think it's reasonable to expect more improvement as I learn how to ride the darn thing. when's the next track day??? Cheers, Lance
how could you miss us?!?!?!? we were the obnoxious ones that took up that whole end of the paddock. i was on the blue r6. #36 sorry we didn't get to meet.
Jig, I stopped by your Motorhome a few times, but you were always out riding. next time perhaps... BTW, I was the very large guy, badly in need of a haircut, on the Red bmw and the black gsxr-750, #13. L
Nice to meet you Lance. Glad you came to dinner with us. And thanks for helping us load after, as Wade noted, you loaded both of your bikes by yourself. Jigmoore, I came down your way on Saturday (was looking for your bike, saw that it had "Jig" on it earlier in the day) but I didn't see it.
Lance, it was nice meeting you. And yes, thank you for sticking around and helping us load everything up. See you at BeaveRun, if not before (we just decided to do the STT Grattan events May 6th & 7th...I think you should go too). Wade
gigantic: i remember seeing the red bmw. sorry i missed ya. svgirl: daaaaang. if i woulda known the betty's were comin' knockin' on the rv, i woulda told them to come get me out on the track. i'm reeeeeaaaally sorry i missed you. davis: me? stuff somebody in the bus-stop? no way. i just ram people off the track. if i only stuffed you, musta been i missed banging into you. i'll get you next time. (j/k...what were the circumstances?)
Wade, that does it. I'm doing a private day on the 19th of may, as well as the dates on the 20th and 21st. I don't think i can wait that long, though. If my ebay sales go well this week, i think "ll have to sign up for it,I can't wait that long to get back out! I just gotta take care of the BeaverRun weekend, first and get some adjustable rearsets for the gixxer; the ergo's on the Valtermoto's are killing me, as will my wife when she finds out that i'm doing three weekends in May... Cheers, Lance
well it's kinda up in the air right now. i've put in about 30 hours in the last two weeks at work. if things pick up in the next couple days, I'm in, if not, i might have to sit it out. If i go, I'll be running in intermediate. keeping my fingers x-ed that i go back to work tomorrow. Lance
Well if not, then we'll see you at BeaveRun. How is the selling and buying of your wife's bike going?
we haven't really started yet, other than putting our names on the list at the local suzuki shop, when the new SV-S's come in. Felice's BMW went on EBay this week: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4634618619 as soon as that sells, we'll begin our search in earnest. she's got her heart set on a red late model SV650S. I can't wait to ride it myself!
