Re: READ THIS!!!!!!! Monte needs Michelin Tire Deal Feedba Perfect timing! Our race team is planning the 2009 tire purchases, and this may be our solution (if you can do it). Provided this deal comes together in the near future, I will commit to buy a minimum of four sets of the above deal (with 190 softs). Seriously- credit card in hand. roosell@motospeed.us
Does anyone have a link that explains all of the different flavors of Michelins, eg PRC, PRxyz, etc.? And then, the 2 or 3 compounds that vary from tire to tire and front to rear?
I found this on another supplier's website, maybe monte can confirm. Compound PRC = Medium/Soft PR4 = Medium/ Soft PR5 = Medium Power Race Soft Power Race Medium/Soft Power Race Medium PR 3 = Soft
Re: READ THIS!!!!!!! Monte needs Michelin Tire Deal Feedba How much if you do this deal but substitue a PRC front in for the Power race Med-Soft front?
I think I have to jump on board with this as well. I'll need to figure out what amount of fronts, 180's and 190's I need.... Is there a time frame on this deal? I don't want to miss out! t
The deal is going to be (1) PRC and (3) PR3 or (3) 190/55 Soft. No single front PRC's. We will however sell some single rears if folks need them since we have way more rears than fronts. I need to balance the inventory and not get stuck with tons of rears with no fronts. I'm buying them from Michelin in an approximte 3:1 Rear/Front ratio. Make sense?
At this time 160/60 Race's were not on the deal sheet but I know we have some Power Race overstock in 160/60 soft only(not Med-Soft or Medium) but they are approximately $18 more than the 190/55 soft or PR3 because there are very few of them. I know that sounds strange that a 160 is more than a 180/55 and 190/55 but it's the way it worked out this time around.
Is this an accurate description of the PR Series? As a novice rider (2 min @ Barber) is this more than I need? Mike G
