Whaaa??!! Is that going to include 2 stroke track motorcycles?
I have a Zuma, and it's legal for street use if I so choose.

Anyway, I vote for not banning pitbikes, including Zumas :D
And, I'm not lazy, am in pretty decent shape, but prefer not to take the long hikes to the bathrooms at facilities like Pocono and BeaveRun.

I can dig up some pictures of you Judy, but I'm a loyal friend. Which is not to say that I can't be bought. I just don't think Jig can afford me :)

Great points EXCEPT the banning bicycle part... I got a BMX Bike to get to the classroom and back pending on where I pit at each track.. This was great especially to get a few Advanced sessions in and save time. As long as I rode somewhat fast without the Alpinestars getting caught in the spokes all was well and I wasn't in anyones way..... Those that say they are dodging bikes in the pits should think about slowing down..

As far as pitbikes they can be used as tools or toys... Most responsible people use them as tools shuttling tires ect. However when someone does constant wheelies in front of where I am I always voice my opinion quick and tell them to take it elsewhere..

All well and good to say slow down but I already go slow in the pits. I've already stopped when observing a bicycle ridden by someone looking the other way and had to blow the horn for them to see me. Bicycle problems are two fold; first is stunting, yes they are slow but if a wheely gone wrong ends up in my bike, I'll be pissed, the second is someone woblling around so "laid back" on their bicycle that the just don't pay attention.

Get off my lawn and take your bicycle and dog with you

I have a right to be a grumpy old fart. I am old. And look who's talking about grumpy.

Pit bikes? Ban them all and let God sort them out.

The rule is simple. Pit bikes - # plates and the warning/fine system.

Bicycles - if they're acting out of line, gently nudge them accordingly with your pit bike or throw a stick in their spokes. They won't be a bother again.

Plated or Licensed pit bikes only. If it is registered for the street it can be used, otherwise no go. Licensed bikes requires insurance to cover damage caused by poor judgement. No speeding, wheelies or horseplay or the bike gets confiscated until the end of the day. My 2 cents, and that's because mine are street plated! :D

Bicycles ok except for minors (under 16) Participants using bicycles for transport should be allowed but the same goes for excessive speed, stunts etc. Confiscate the bike if needed.

I really don't want to register and insure my pit bike. I think having the rider's number on the front will accomplish the same thing, which is being able to identify to whom it belongs. As far as liability, many race bikes aren't registered and insured, and if pit bikes are banned, more folks will just be riding them around the pits instead. I'd be putting the kickstand back on mine...

The difference is track day events are not race events. For a few people that have numbers on their bikes this might be ok but you have another population of street riders that aren't racers.

Plate them or leave them at home. We had someone hit us with a car at Grattan many moons ago with no insurance and expired tag and we had to eat our deductible since it was on private property. If this were a pit bike or lawn tractor it doesn't matter. I don't know about you but I don't like paying for someone else's mistakes.
