Looks like I will be there on Saturday evening and riding on Sunday. Got 5-6 more coming from Gaston county to ride on Saturday and Sunday
Ima ride down and give yall some support, wish i could afford to to this td and race at Tally the next weekend too but i cant. So Tally is it, Then some td's after that.
Yeah, silly rule. But it's been like that forever. I believe the only thing that gets a pass on that is the 24 hour LeMans race.
Actually they don't run a 24 hour race at Road Atlanta. The Petit Lemans is a 10 hour race that is run on Saturday. They fill Sunday with support races.
They have let other orgs run till 6pm to make up for the extra hour down time. RA gets a couple exceptions a year to the Sunday shut down. Track days are not big enough for that exception. Funny though, on car track days they still run regular on Sundays with stock exhaust. They just pull you off if your to loud.
I have been to the 24 Hours of LeMans and they don't let anything interfere with the race. It takes over the whole town and everything for miles around.
Dogs... I'll be there, probably in I. The RA website says no dogs. Are you sure we can bring our furry friends?
That has always been on there, but I see people bring them to the races and there are usually a few at the track days there.
So I'm bored and was looking at youtube videos of the STT Road Atlanta date last year and found some video of me on the back straight. Fack! I can't wait 2 weeks! On the left hand side I come zooming by, man it really doesn't feel like you're moving that fast but seeing it makes me pucker up a little. http://youtu.be/RVnTn1W6nCU?t=7m43s
GO CAM ! @ 5:47  Shame he's gonna be ridin a Jazzy this time round :crutch: I'm in for the weekend........
They allowed NESBA to run till 6pm last month. There were 2 sessions in the morning and then quiet from 10-12. Then ran from 12-6pm. I don't know if they worked it out ahead of time or what.
We pay for the extra hour until 6:00. Track, corner workers, EMS, etc. Everybody gets paid for the extra time.
