sorry i wasn't making sense. I was on a gray/black cbr 1000 and it was coming out of turn 7 on sunday. it stepped out very quickly and i chopped. you must have been right there because you got around me before i could blink. later i was talking to you on the hot pit waiting to go out and you told me about the ass pack incident.
ah yeah, I remember now. It happened a few times in T7 and T5. Seems to be the two places that people spook and shut it down a LOT. T7 I know a few times I would line up to get a run out on someone and they would blow the corner a little, and although it would be straight up and down mostly, the pass would end up slightly closer than I would have liked, due to their lack of drive. Stuff happens. But Id rather make that close pass, than have "you" slow down, then I chop the throttle to avoid a close pass, then get asspacked by the third dude behind me.
I love it, I got no problem with a close pass if the guy making it is obviously capable. It shows me just how important it is to get it right when you are out there. honestly i fully expected to get ass packed, so thanks for avoiding it. do you guys know who is going to barber yet? I have never been there and am hoping someone can pull me around for a few.
nope we sure dont. They generally send out roll call two weeks ahead of the event. I dont plan on it. I think my next date more than likely will be Nashville beginning of August. I have a trip in July I am going on. I am trying to do one a month at least, but I think July will get skipped. Not sure yet though. But I am sure someone will be happy to pull ya around a bit 8)
crash 10b I was the rider in 10b. The corner worker was not clear on if one should be waved (red flag) I was not either I only know what to do while riding and seeing a red flag. I dont know What crash zones require it. But they should..they debated on the radio I just sat and listened. All I can say is Pilot powers suck above 95 degrees they gave no warning until I was one with the tarmac.
Bike is pretty ugly, but mechanically not to bad; clip on, rearset, and bent subframe. The fairing stay, intsrument, seat, and f fender are good. Otherwise all bodywork is trashed. It starting rolling in the gravel. that sucked But I am ok . At least I got 5 sessions in LOL.
wow - just saw the video. did you spin up the rear, or did it just let go? I mean, your upper body looked a LITTLE high on the bike, but i was surprised when the rear just slid out like that. tough break.
wreck It Just let go didnt spin or anything. The tire looks well overheated on the very edge and greasy. I was really shocked when it was over because they never gave me any warning, a spin in the previous turn nothing.
Just saw the video, I've had a similar experience with the same tires. Glad your OK. I've had to limp in from a few track days in Savannah when its just too hot out and the tires cant handle the heat. Otherwise, they are still my tire of choice.
Time to switch to the power race , I never had a problem with them all weekend . They stayed clean and I only put the warmers on for the first session and left them alone for the rest of the day .
