I'll be there in I for 7/3 and A for 7/4. I just got bumped last weekend, and I don't want to feel pressured to keep an A pace while I learn the track. I just hope I can get my bike all sorted out by then. I had to miss the afternoon at ACC on Sunday.
Don't laugh, but I just bought a gear indicator for this track. I am the king of the single gear drill usually only shifting a couple times per lap. Every track is a 2nd and 3rd gear track to me. I'm either always in 2nd with a couple hits to 3rd on straights or 3rd all the time with a couple downshifts to 2nd for slower corners. I have zero desire to get lost in the gearbox with a false nuetral in the run down to Canada corner or find first gear headed into T5 because I only got up to 5th an not 6th that lap. :crutch:
Does everyone have their spots for Road America? Just giving you guys/gals a heads up: Intermediate is already sold out both days and Advance & Novice are right behind! I wouldn't wait too much longer, so get your spots while they are still available! Last STT Road America event for the season! I don't wanna hear any  cuz you got sold out. Get them here-> http://www.sportbiketracktime.com/Wisconsin-Track-Time-Events/
Really not only did I miss the last ACC due to snoozin now this :wtf: If your looking for more A riders, I'd be happy to ride there I can dig up my old CCS and AMA license :thumb:
If i am not mistaken, your race license will have to be current to bypass the "bump" evaluation from an instructor and ride advanced.
Congrats on the bump! Knew it wasn't going to take long before they moved you up to I. In for the 3rd. Have to give my old man knees a day break before Grattan on the 5th :woot:
I'll be riding with STT for the first time July 3rd and 4th. Look forward to meeting some of you. I live 40 minutes from it yet have only ridden there once last year
UPDATE: Sold out all groups for Road America Friday 7/4. For Thursday, 7/3 only Novice & Advanced available. Novice only a couple spots left and Advance is almost sold out as well. Hope you guys got your spots! http://www.sportbiketracktime.com/Wisconsin-Track-Time-Events/
shoot mine are so old they are chiseled on a rock, kinda lumpy in the leathers. So can I  now or is that still frowned upon? work schedule looks iffy anyway, wish everyone a great time :thumb:
as info for those headed to RA next weekend. This was posted for those of us racing CCS that weekend, but probably applies to anyone headed up there 1. We cannot use the staging area for anyone to park on. This area is soft grass and you will get stuck. There truly is no place to park until they can access the paddock areas. 2. The Competition Paddock is closed to any kind of parking what so ever. (This is the location with the grass areas in the middle of the paddock.) There will be people there working to restore the grass areas in Competition Paddock as well as in other areas of the facility and we need to stay away from those areas that have been or are being repaired. 3. Our riders will have the full main paddock to use and if they park with some semblance of order and common sense, we will fit a lot more into that space and avoid having to spill over into the other areas until the main paddock is truly full. 4. In addition to the main paddock, we can park on the new asphalt that is called Lower West Paddock. That is located to the West of the Medical Building in what used to be South Paddock a while ago. 5. Also, there is another new area behind the Orion Garages up on the hill that is called the “bone yard” that is also open to our participants. Not the upper Motorhome park, but the new asphalt that is to the North of that area. 6. Road America is also allowing people to paddock in the North Paddock but they must remain on the asphalt and not go on the grass with any kind of machine at all. The Lester building is also available but with no charge and no electricity. 7. Lastly, the area called the “corporate pad” located drivers right as you exit the HAWK Tunnel is open for paddock. The overall message is that we can only on park on the asphalt and if someone makes the mistake of not listening, they be financially responsible for damages caused to the facility
If everyone parks perpendicular to the front straight.... :thumb: you can easily fit a 100 pit/camps on the pavement. I'm in! :rawk:
Would not miss RA Just signed up for A at RA 7/3 and 7/4 , they are filling fast so its time to step up. The weather looks awesome and the track kicks butt , cant wait to let the camel run . See ya at the track :rawk:
