I'm in for Sunday...since I'm new to STT, I look forward to riding with the Club. BTW, does STT use cones to mark RP's like Team Pro-Motion does and NESBA does sometimes?

    TIA

Pocono is open during rain unless there are huge amounts of standing water on the track.

Anyone know the STT policy for rain-outs or if people choose not to ride... do they lose the entire trackday fee? Well, ignore this - I just found the answer in another section of the site....

I need to find that rain suit and also DO NOT run slicks!

None of my regular comrades had the nerve to sign up or maybe they were the smart ones.

Either way, I'll most likely be in the lonely hearts section(1st left in the gate, towards the back right on power side for electric). I'll have my generator for back-up if they disconnect the plugs.

Yeah. The weather's really not looking so good. I'm signed up for the weekend at Pocono. Anybody know the likelihood that we will ride? That is, how bad does it usually get before the day gets cancelled?

Also, For anyone in the NYC\Northern NJ area, I'm leaving tonight and have an extra spot for a bike in my van. Let me know if you're interested!

Y'all a bunch of whiners! I'll be RACING in the rain tomorrow. You folks doing the trackday can suck it up, go out in the rain and still get something usefull out of your day. Work on your lines, smoothness and body positioning. Me, I'll be holding on for dear life, hoping I don't hydroplane through T10! LOL.

Of-course, it's easy for me to say that when I can't make it up there myself. LOL.

For those of you who do still go.... Hope you all have a good time, despite mother nature and her cruel evil ways. Stay safe everyone! And remember, it's not a race so if it is wet just take it easy. SMOOTH is key!

I have a feeling Sunday will turn out ok. There will probably be some rain in the am and then things will clear up enough for some good riding after lunch. Saturday may not be so clear.

    I'm hopefull with you Snake.

Looking at the bright side, if it's cold and raining on Sat, then maybe it will be open track and you can go on and off as you please :) More track time and where's better to gain wet riding experience!

Ha! Suck it up nuthin'! I'd rather take 55-65 degrees and raining than 45 deg and raining....that little ten degrees of warmth makes a big difference!

Anyway , the only thing I'm disappointed in is that I just spent 4 hours cleaning two riding days worth of muck off the bike...one day riding home in the rain because I had such a jonez to ride and one day of 350 miles worth of gnats on the fairing....blecchhh! :x :!: :? ... and now it's going to go to crap tomorrow!

oh well... I keep looking at the forecast for Sunday...supposed to improve as the day goes on...and of course we can always hope for the best with Pocono raceway's unique weather system that it isn't as bad as the rest of the area!

    see you all there!

So this is where you all went!

Sunday forecast as of 7PM is a little better, but I suggest keeping on the track as much as possible. Our canopies are probably pretty attractive lightning rods....

    Yahoo!Weather says:

Tomorrow: Rain showers early with isolated thunderstorms developing later in the day. High 58F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

What a ridiculous weather day. Even for Pocono..

I was 5 mins away from packing up after lunch when the rain started up again but I'm glad I stayed. It was a great time and I really wished we could have run more after 5 in that great weather.

I learned just how out of shape I am after my first day back on the bike. I may have lost weight but I still lose too much of my steam after 4 laps or so in those afternoon sessions. Instead of doing something stupid while fatigued, I just got myself off the track after the 5th lap or so.
