Hi everyone! Wife here, also known as Ally. My hubby has spoken very highly of everyone on this forum and convinced me that you all will help me through this exciting adventure! I'm thrilled to be tagging along to the track to meet you guys! I'm planning to ride Monday and mostly observe and learn Sunday. Would I be allowed to ride 2-up with someone Sunday to get a comfortable feel for the track? I also wonder if I will be able to sit in on the classroom session with my hubby Sunday? Thanks again for being such awesome, welcoming folks!
Welcome Ally! You are more than welcome to sit in on all the classroom sessions and feel free to ask any of the coaches any questions you'd like during the weekend. We're here to help and we all really enjoy what we do so don't be shy. You can do the two-up ride with either your husband or you could ask a coach, but most of us have track bikes with no back seat. Look forward to meeting you and your husband!:thumb:
lmao! but no pass pegs. :lmao: Ally, I do have a seat and pegs so if you want to go out on a two up ride (assuming your husband doesnt have them) let me know, i will be happy to take you out for a spin.
Favorite quote eva!!!! Good luck with that man :lmao: You are too modest. The bikes move over just to see you ride by :bounce:
To all of you guys going to tally, is there anyone that has an extra pair of riding boots i can borrow or rent for the day? size 9.5-11 would prolly work. I would really appreciate it. first time on the track and i cant quite afford a pair right now.
Does anyone know if a suspension tech will be at tally? I spoke with Ken Hall, he said he will not be there. He is gracing the autobahn paddock that wwekend. My R1 is in a need of a retune. For some reason she has gone from hero at Putnam to pure zero. I can't get it to turn.
Darn. Anybody good with tuning an ohlins 25 mil kit and ohlins rear shock for a fatboy? He tuned it last summer-resprung both ends and it felt awesome at speed. Now I can't get comfortable enough to carry enough speed and get the suspension in the middle of its stroke. Very wierd. Hopefully I can get it sorted. Does he keep record of the clicker settings?
Not to threadjack too much . . . will tire service still be there? edit: NVM, just saw the facts on Tally post . . . when all else fails
I second this since it means I'll be trashing yet another tire  Kenny was helping me dial in the new ttx.
That'd be awesome of ya man. What day are you going to be there? i was planning on getting there saturday in the afternoon and running sunday. I appreciate that, i'll most likely be going saturday and sunday though, driving down from the huntsville AL area. If you end up going saturday let me know though, If newleaf's dont fit i may be able to use em. Thanks guys
Ya'll make sure to start drinking lots of water starting Wednesday. It's looking like a HOT weekend. Don't want any dehydration going on
I'll be there all weekend as well. we'll arrive fri night. ask around for John and Emily. bring some shoe goo or similar to put a layer on the soles. they're not worn through, but some rearsets may be less than comfortable.
